I understand. And I’m sure I am having a bias because like you say, with some guys it can be thought of as an obviously you go situation.  
 

what I have to remember is the calculation isn’t a direct one.  It isn’t safe vs outs on throws home.  You can count some safe runners evenwhen no throw was made
