I hate to admit this, but I closed my browser window whe they scored I was so pissed. I am shocked to see this!

I don't even get the rule anymore. No goal should be allowed if a player got both skates in the crease under his own power.  They might as well stop painting them blue.

The Ref screwed the Kings last night.   That Kasper goal should not have counted, the stick was high.    And I don't think the Kings player really interfered with the goalie in OT.

Scripted.

Maybe the high stick goal shouldn’t have counted. But the Kings goal waived off was clear goalie interference. Fiala skated into the blue crease on his own before the puck and made contact.

Maybe Kasper's first was a high stick but I think it was the right call to go with what was on the ice, I didn't think the replays were conclusive either way because of him slapping down his stick to make contact.  To me if it could go either way you go with the call on the ice.  I highly doubt the NHL has a conspiracy to make the Wings win a regular season game against a Western team in October.

I’ve always been a big fan of enforcing the crease rules, just stay out. I’ve also been a fan of letting them play if the goalie comes out of the crease. I think you should be able to check a goalie who’s playing the puck behind the net.

What...we won?!!  I was watching on my phone in bed and shut it down right after the "goal"

What a pleasant surprise!

Me too. I finally watched it. There was literally no indication that the result was in question for over full minute. Ken and Osgood were just going over their normal post loss stats. Then finally Ken said that the Wings hadn’t left the bench.

The review was crazy obvious. He was in the crease way before the puck, and then he both deflected the puck from in the crease to making contact with Talbot as he slid across the crease to scoring from in the crease.

I will say, knowing that goal was getting overturned to winning in shootout made watching that sequence even more satisfying.

The Talbot save vs Kempe in the shootout is not being discussed here enough. Holy cow. That was the save of the game.

I guess the Wings' play had been so poor since about 17:00 in the 3rd that everyone, including Ken and Ozzy, had  just booked the loss mentally. 😱

ASP get beaten badly, Wings give up a shorty for the 2nd straight night. ASP should have taken the penalty and just hooked the man.

Larkin and Raymond get it back. Tie 1-1

If the Wings win tonight they will be tied for most points in the NHL..

Ducks are clearly attacking ASP - not so much physically but trying to take away his space as much as possible and force bad decisions.

Wings seemed to be on the brink, down 3-1 and killing off a 4 on 3 and one of the Wings lost his stick. But got through that and then DeBrincat has got the Wings right back in it and the Wings are immediately going back on the powerplay .
