Deleterious Posted October 16 Author Posted October 16 Unrelated to his previous injury. Headline is kind of wrong. It says he will be re-evaluated in four weeks. So he could be out longer. Quote
Shinzaki Posted October 16 Posted October 16 Not good...beginning to wonder if the "fragile" label applies Quote

I highly doubt we see him before December and then they'll give it the "conditioning" tag for another couple weeks, followed by a "minutes restriction" tag. I'm not expecting to see Jaden in his full role until around game 30...just about 1 year from the date of his previous injury. Quote
casimir Posted October 18 Posted October 18 This stinks. I was really hoping he could bounce back and return to his trajectory from last season. Quote

Deleterious Posted October 18 Author Posted October 18 It was already going to be pretty hard to trade Ivey or Duren. A team trading their star player is blowing it up, and they want picks and/or cheap talent, not guys due extensions this summer. Ivey was going to need a good 2-3 month run to entice people. But if he does miss 30 games, that means he is back at New Years and there is only a month before the trade deadline. I wouldn't count on him being a centerpiece in a trade for a star. It's actually looking more and more like the Pistons don't have the assets to obtain one. Quote

Him coming back and playing well was an important part of the trade strategy. Quote
