Unrelated to his previous injury.  Headline is kind of wrong.  It says he will be re-evaluated in four weeks.  So he could be out longer.

Based upon their history of "re-evaluated" my guess is it's much longer. I highly doubt we see him before December and then they'll give it the "conditioning" tag for another couple weeks, followed by a "minutes restriction" tag.  I'm not expecting to see Jaden in his full role until around game 30...just about 1 year from the date of his previous injury.

as long as he's back before the trade deadline so they can include him in a trade for star#2.

It was already going to be pretty hard to trade Ivey or Duren.  A team trading their star player is blowing it up, and they want picks and/or cheap talent, not guys due extensions this summer.

Ivey was going to need a good 2-3 month run to entice people.  But if he does miss 30 games, that means he is back at New Years and there is only a month before the trade deadline.

I wouldn't count on him being a centerpiece in a trade for a star.  It's actually looking more and more like the Pistons don't have the assets to obtain one.

Agreed, and that's the saddest part about this injury for the Pistons. Him coming back and playing well was an important part of the trade strategy.
