What rule is the USMNT breaking? It is the teams fault they reviewed the, completely BS, red card and suspended the red? Should have never been called and should never have been in this situation to begin with. I get what you’re saying, but pardon me if I don’t really care. The US men’s team has been on the receiving end up BS from CONCACAF and FIFA for decades. First time in my life something went our way. Quote
RedTeamGo! Posted July 6 Posted July 6 Consider this FIFA’s apology for USMNT being robbed of a trip to the semifinals in 02 as far as I’m concerned Quote

RedTeamGo! Posted July 6 Posted July 6 Just to be clear I strongly dislike Trump and don’t like he is involved with this. Quote

If you pick up a yellow in the round of 16 and a yellow in the quarters you’re out of the semi. If you pick up one yellow only in the round of 16 and the quarters total then you have a clean slate again entering the semis. Quote

Hongbit Posted July 7 Posted July 7 Very very nervy first 15 minutes. Lots of sloppy play and every bounce seems to be landing right on a Belgian foot. Quote
RedTeamGo! Posted July 7 Posted July 7 Belgium just severely outclassing the US in midfield. This looks like the old US. Quote
buddha Posted July 7 Posted July 7 still in it. they looked better in the last 5 minutes. tillman has been playing a really good game. tim ream.....not so much. he was always going to be the weak link in that defense and was arguably at fault for the first goal and got completely outmuscled for the second. and he'll probably get a dose of lukaku in the last 20 minutes. interesting that garcia left lukaku and de bruyne (fading stars) on the bench while roberto martinez never had the balls to sit ronaldo and thus wasted one of the best midfields in the sport. Hongbit Posted July 7 Posted July 7 That was ugly as hell. I’ve never watched a team with as many poor first touches. So many terrible passes and failed combo attempts. I don’t know where he goes. Nobody played well that half. Everyone is a possible sub off. Quote
buddha Posted July 7 Posted July 7 most promising move of the half and pulisic falls down and acts hurt. then a great pass to freeman and of course he cant control it. Quote
buddha Posted July 7 Posted July 7 richards was completely beaten over the top by a long ball by thr freaking goalie. then reese tries to get cute and completely botches it. and off goes pulisic injured. again. as usual. and he hurt himself kicking the ground. Quote
Hongbit Posted July 7 Posted July 7 I’m afraid to ask what else can go wrong for Tim Ream tonight. Quote
Hongbit Posted July 7 Posted July 7 They have nothing to lose right now and they have to fight harder than this. Quote
buddha Posted July 7 Posted July 7 belgium just brought on two players off their bench who are better than any us player on the field. Quote

In a tournament that offensive players dominate whether through injury, Pulisic's own indifferent play and sometimes just shockingly poor play has been pretty revealing. Quote

Dude, stop. The replay clearly showed exactly what happened and that it was a legit injury. Quote
DTroppens Posted July 7 Posted July 7 The poor defense and poor keeping decisions that previous teams couldn't consistently reveal have been exposed by a legit offensive team tonight. We don't have a Tim Howard that can overcome defensive deficiencies. Gosh, you tie the game. Do what you have to do to not allow a goal a minute later. That was death. Quote
GalagaGuy Posted July 7 Author Posted July 7 Well, back to not caring about soccer for the next 4 years. Quote
DTroppens Posted July 7 Posted July 7 With a ridiculously easy group and a very winnable first game in the round of 32, this team did nothing more than it ever does, basically losing in the round of 16 at home. And looking crazily outclassed doing it. Quote

This is their history since hosting when I was still basically a kid. One quarterfinal appearance is it. This is what US soccer is. Quote
