Sports_Freak Posted Friday at 07:38 PM Posted Friday at 07:38 PM (edited) I saw the Larkin goal on Twitter and was like..."huh? They play tonight" Yeah, I totally missed last night's game. Edited Friday at 07:39 PM by Sports_Freak Quote
lordstanley Posted Sunday at 12:46 AM Author Posted Sunday at 12:46 AM Talbot starting his 1st game in a month. I hate goals with 8 seconds left in a period. 2-0 Carolina after 1 Quote
lordstanley Posted Sunday at 01:51 AM Author Posted Sunday at 01:51 AM Wings fighting back, cutting a 3-0 deficit to 3-2 with a full period to go. I like goals with 47 seconds left in a period. Quote
lordstanley Posted Sunday at 02:14 AM Author Posted Sunday at 02:14 AM Short lived hope. Back to a 3-goal deficit. 5-2 Canes. Talbot games are jus a write-off, no? Quote

It’s a shame because it feels like Rasmussen wants to be better and tries. But he just isn’t good enough at the nhl level. I feel like Compher is another guy Todd is talking about but he just seems to lack the compete to stay engaged. Quote

We've seen Compher play very well in stretches, and Ras too though in only shorter stretches. I suppose the NHL game today is played so close to the limit of human aerobic capacity that there must be guys who just don't have the genetics to maintain an elite energy output level on a consistent basis or neurologically just can't drive themselves to it, so despite whatever skills they flash, in the end you've just got a jersey.. Also TBF, the Wings did come back in this one- McLellan seemed to be deflecting away from Talbot here. Edited Sunday at 09:05 PM by gehringer_2 Quote
