26-27: 58M
27-28: 62M
28-29 67M (Player Option)

Paul George also has two more years at around 50M.

Combined that about 70% of the cap. The also don't own their first round picks in 2 of the next 3 years (or something like that).

Sorry, Philly. You're gonna be bad for a while.

A pivotal tank game between the Jazz and Grizzlies. Memphis had 15 players on their injury report.

OKC obviously isn't tanking. But they list all of their starters and most of their key reserves out against Denver.

Award eligibility watch:

Ausar now has 63 games over 20 minutes. You can also include a maximum of 2 games in the 15-20 minute range and he has those as well. He now qualifies for awards.

Cade has 62 qualifying games (soon to be 63). He has zero games between 15-20 minutes, so he can't use that rule.

There's an exception for players who suffer a "Season Ending Injury" that takes them out through May 31st. Cade also wouldn't qualify for that, which is silly because it shouldn't matter when the significant injury occurred.

You can file a "Grievance" if the eligibility for awards could affect your next contract and you can prove the team stopped you from playing to save money. Obviously that doesn't apply to Cade.

There's also an "Extraordinary Circumstances Challenge". From what I've read online it sounds like the "circumstances" aren't defined in the contract and it's left open, so this is the angle the team will likely try to take. I doubt it will work for an injury, but it's worth a shot. This is also the angle Luka will go for due to his child being born.

Luka Garza, Ron Harper Jr, Baylor Scheierman, Jordan Walsh, and Max Shulga.  That was the Celtics starting lineup today against Orlando.  The Magic were playing for position and played their normal lineup.  They lost.  What a dumpster fire.

Almost everything about the league's regular season is embarassing nowadays.

from marginal players setting records for offense, to teams deliberately playing g-league lineups to lose games, to sitting star players every other night, to the massive blowouts as teams do not care if they win.

its a real problem in the nba.  the fact that the players do not care enough about the game to play every night is an issue that will haunt the league.  i dont know how you fix that.

they should give the commish the ability to punish teams for sending out inferior lineups to lose.  give it real teeth and not the half-assed measures they use now.  in other words, give the commish the ability to take picks away, or to lower the draft odds, or say the team cant pick higher than 8th because of repeat tanking offenses.

they can tweak the lottery in ways that will help, but i doubt they have the cojones to do it.  make a win "floor".  if you dont finish with at least 25 wins, the highest you can pick is 8th.  something like that.  but make it so teams have to win a certain number of games during the year.

not to get all "gen x nostalgiac" on you, but can you imagine jordan or isiah or bird or magic not wanting to play?  not wanting to win?

take the all star game, they actually used to try to win the game.  how novel.  i know this sounds old mannish, but i think its generational.  does lebron really care about winning every game?  or is he more concerned with brand and "mental health"?

The league will nibble around the edges in an attempt to fix things.  But you will never see any meaningful changes until the money disappears.  So far, there has been no sign of the money train slowing down so I wouldn't hold my breath on those changes.

There is also the possibility we are just old and our opinions no longer matter.  This weekend, Coachella paid Justin Bieber $10 million to go on stage to sit at a computer and play his old videos on Youtube.  Imagine that happening when we were kids?  I guess it wouldn't have been Youtube back then.  It would have been Axl Rose rolling out one of those A/V carts from school with the VCR and TV on it.
