Edman85 Posted yesterday at 07:18 PM Author Posted yesterday at 07:18 PM Should get back under by Sunday with three pitchers coming off the IL this weekend. One thing I wanted to point out though: Beau Brieske is on a guaranteed contract, not a split contract. That means if he is sent down this weekend, he makes the same in the minors as the majors and it doesn't help lower the CBT number. Quote

Edman85 Posted 2 hours ago Author Posted 2 hours ago Brieske makes the same in the majors as the minors. Adding Outman adds his prorated $797,500 projected the rest of the way, a bit over $435,000. Hanifee making $795,500 in the bigs, $331,218 in the minors. So going down lowers the bill a bit. I don't know what Waguespack's making. I'm guessing $850,000, just copying what Short is making. Short gets paid his MLB rate while in DFA limbo. If he clears waivers and gets outrighted, he would get prorated $180,000 the rest of the way. If he opts out, the Tigers are off the hook. ... How the sausage is made. I'll put an updated number up after Mize/Skubal return and Short's DFA limbo ends. 1 Quote
