Turn on the Wolves/Nuggets series. They got him for a bunch of seconds and roster fodder. He was easily available to the Pistons had they wanted. Im not how accurate that Free Press article was anyway. Looking into it, several teams have recently acquired players that helped them win a championship. https://www.nba.com/news/6-recent-trades-that-helped-fuel-nba-championships Quote
Deleterious Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I have gone over this before. But not moving Harris is one of the biggest blunders Langdon has made since taking over. The Pistons are expected to operate as a team over the cap this summer. That means when Harris becomes a free agent this summer his $25 million will come off the books, but it won't create a single penny of new cap space. So they get a hole to fill without adding any resources to fill it because they are still over the cap. People will say bring Harris back, but with his performance in the playoffs I don't think that is a very attractive option now. They really needed to move him for a player that had a deal that extended out past this summer. Or a guy who would be a free agent this summer they wanted back and could use his Bird rights to do so. That is how you manage a roster and the salary cap. But the decided against all that so Harris could vibe and shoot 14% from three in the playoffs. Sweet. 1 Quote

Sweet. that would be difficult. the easiest thing to do was nothing and then say you didnt want to mess with their great chemistry. yes, jb sucks at making big adjustments, but this is a roster construction failure. as much as i think the bulls players were overrated role players, they could play key roles! how about coby white or ayo dosunmu? FOR SECOND ROUND PICKS! and they didnt bother with either because they...check notes...wanted to move up 8 spots in the middle of the draft. either one could have given you an extra ball handler/offensive player (white) or defensive player/ok shooter (ayo). and instead they chose the corpse of kevin heurter. what an absolute failure. Deleterious Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Combine that with the #5 pick from two years ago unable to get off the bench. Plus, LeVert and Robinson not looking that hot. You might have a GM problem. Quote

You might have a GM problem. lavert makes 14 million next year. watch them extend tobias, sign duren to a huge deal, and draft a 19 year old project at #21 and stash him somewhere. RUN IT BACK! we wouldnt want to use a roster spot and have to give up on bobi klintmann. Quote
