Since I’m not watching this game, I don’t know who went to the mound to talk to Anderson after he walked the first two batters.

Did somebody tell him that him and his family would end up under the Ambassador Bridge with Jimmy Hoffa or something if he didn’t strike out the next three guys?

Hinch should be managing a rich team that buys fully finished product players.

I believe he needs younger players to try to intimidate and puff his chest out at.

In Arizona and Houston, veteran teams, the players didn't have any respect for him at all and his attempt at being smartest man in baseball schtick.  He lost the clubhouse at both those places. I don't think that works for a marginal manager with veteran players.  Leyland might be able to get away with something like that but not a guy like Hinch, especially with his cheating scandal on the books.

So, the next three games are against the White Sox in Chicago, which for the past couple years or so I would’ve looked forward to, but not so much anymore… EDIT nope I’m an idiot.

Okay.  Day off.   Back home now.     Mud Hens are at home.    1-hour drive.    Let's make some moves.    Max Anderson and Ben Malgeri need to come here and Jones and Short need to go away.     Use McKinstry as the backup SS if they have to, but with a day off, a 21-year old kid should be able to start and play full games at SS for the next week.      Does anyone know how close Javy is?

Never mind, I read the schedule wrong. We play the Angels at home. I shouldn’t post and drive this train high on cocaine Casey Jones. I’d better watch my speed trouble ahead trouble behind.

I think the next 3 games are at home vs. the Angels and then they go to Chicago.

Melton looked good, so glad to have him back. Anderson is also grinding out his place.

I'm pleasantly surprised by the pitching. It's still early but contributions from Montero, Madden, Anderson and now Melton looks promising.
