Deleterious Posted June 16 Posted June 16 I wonder if Washington can get Utah to make a trade. Dybantsa and Utah supposedly want each other. Peterson only wants Washington. Meanwhile, Memphis is just hanging back and possibly getting the best prospect in Boozer. Quote
Deleterious Posted June 17 Posted June 17 Pulling for a trade, but Stirtz seems fine if they use the pick. Quote

Betrayer Posted June 17 Posted June 17 I'm no draft guru, but not a fan of Stirtz. I don't need to replace Robinson with another white guy who's going to get isolated and hunted time after time in the playoffs. Okorie is interesting if your goal isn't trying to find a starter. As a bench scorer he could work if you're moving Sasser out of the way and not fully confident in Daniss (no way you can play these two together). Like Del said, his height is a real concern for me although the 6'8" wingspan is kind of crazy. If Carr lasts until the late teens and you're willing to burn some assets, then that's a good time to move up and try to get him. He's the ideal pick for me. If you don't want to spend assets on the draft, then maybe you target Graves for the safe rotational player to get some depth at PF. Evans is good option if you just want a 6'6" shooter with plus wingspan. Has the length to become a passable defender, though he'll need to bulk up a bit. I'm less concerned about a guy being "too skinny" than I am about a guy being "too short". All that said, I'm guessing any deal to get Trey Murphy includes this pick since NO doesn't have a pick and we know Weaver likes to move assets for draft picks. I can't imagine him wanting to sit out this draft. Quote
Deleterious Posted June 17 Posted June 17 Wonder what they would do with Markannen 45 games a year. Quote

buddha Posted June 17 Posted June 17 rumors of yaxel falling. older, not as athletic as you think, and very immature. Quote

Herro is more athletic than Duncan too. Doesn't make him a good defender. Not interested. I'm just tired of watching JB choose (and usually make the wrong choice) between offense and defense. Quote

HS, AAU, College. Maybe he's been on great teams - or he made teams great. High floor, safe pick and perhaps a big star. 1 Quote

I think he's being undervalued because he plays such a mature game already so the perception is that he has a lower ceiling than most of the other top 5 prospects but I see a high floor and high ceiling with him. He has the best basketball IQ of any prospect in this draft IMO and IQ is what takes you very far in this league. I'd consider him at 1 especially over a guy like Peterson who is way too boom/bust for my liking. Quote
Deleterious Posted June 18 Posted June 18 He has Philon to Detroit. Yaxel dropping to the Bulls at 15. Would Detroit pass on Cenac? I get he is a project but he seems to have a ton of tools. I know Philon is talented, but can we really get excited about a 175 pound guard? Quote

Deleterious Posted June 22 Posted June 22 At 6PM tonight lottery picks can no longer be directly traded. At 2PM tomorrow, you can no longer directly trade the rest of the picks outside the lottery. Once a player is drafted they are then free to trade his rights. I don't understand that rule, but whatever. Quote
Deleterious Posted June 23 Posted June 23 Unless someone falls, I don't see a definitive BPA at 21 tonight. I would probably go with Cenac or Quaintance. I'm a big believer that a team should always have a center under their rookie contract on the roster. Cheap way to fill out the position. These guys would basically be Stewart replacements since he appears to be on the way out this summer. Quote
