Casey's fastball used to get flat when he tried to get a little extra - flat FB was an issue for him before the TJ. He'd done a lot of work to improve it. Maybe trying to prove to the Padres, the Tigers, and himself he can show everyone and just blow D’Backs off the plate. Not so much, eh? Quote
chasfh Posted August 6 Posted August 6 Close loss. Should have won if hard hit balls had fallen in at merely an average rate. Moral victory, I guess. Quote
NorthWoods Posted August 6 Posted August 6 Can't expect to win scoring 2. Hard to blame the pen for this one. Quote
IdahoBert Posted August 6 Posted August 6 I fell asleep when Anderson was pulled. Sounds like the Tigers just spent the night hitting them where the Mariners wuz. And four of our guys got HBP. The Torres one was cheap though from what I could tell. there wasn’t much commenting on the HBP though. As losses go, though, it wasn’t annihilating, but simply unfortunate given that so much of the competition lost, so we didn’t gain any ground on them. Quote

Or, flip side, fortunate given that so much of the competition lost, we didn’t lose any ground. 1 Quote
