I just think this is great and thread-worthy. Lester waited 8 years for this. May get 5 ABs; may get 20; who knows. I am sure he will savor every second. There was really no reason for him to think that he would get this opportunity.

I remember thinking the same thing, back in the brief Spring Training, when they rolled out a series of photos of the players. Who? Read a little about him and thought, he’s not worth keeping an eye on. Good for him, though.

OP made a spelling error...we clearly have unretired Boston/Cub pitching great Jon Lester to give us some starting pitching depth.  😀

I'm comfortable with Miggy being a coach next year.
