  1. Looks like a strong night across the board for Democrats. Looking at the state election site the House of Delegates remains blue. In our district the long time Republican rep was defeated.

  3. Democrats aren’t the only ones stalling the government—Rand Paul’s solo protest proves it takes all sides to play this game

  5. Reason #2678 why we can't have nice things
  6. Calling Democrats “hostage-takers” ignores reality: the GOP can’t even get enough votes on its own bill. Procedural math > political blame.
  7. Welcome to Democracy. Maybe if Trumpublicans would learn the art of compromise. Why do Democrats have to do all the heavy lifting because your leader is a doddering fool
  8. Crazy Grandpa Trump is starting to loose the Religious Right. (Not that he knows or cares) https://bsky.app/profile/jackjenkins.me/post/3m4tgnrbfos2l
  9. Look, I’m not a big Mamdani fan, but the primary voters chose him. Republicans act like he’s some “poster boy” for all NYC Democrats — but who did they bring up as an alternative? The GOP hasn’t presented anyone remotely representing working New Yorkers’ needs. Mamdani isn’t a blueprint for Democratic policy statewide; he’s a local progressive addressing rent, housing, and public services in the city. Blaming him for the entire party or claiming he helps Republicans is just political theater.
  10. Calling Mamdani “good for Republicans” is rich — he’s running on rent freezes, 200k affordable units, and public services, tackling NYC crises Republicans usually ignore. If anything, he’d show just how out of touch they are.
  11. Republicans control both chambers, but somehow it’s the Democrats “holding the country hostage”? That’s like blaming the passenger when the driver runs out of gas.
  12. How low can he go https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/trump-approval-rating-slides-to-just-37-within-1-point-of-his-all-time-low-cnn-poll/ar-AA1PIC4A?ocid=BingNewsVerp&utm_source=substack&utm_medium=email But Biden, something, something something. Obama, Harris,

  15. Athletic writer Tim Britton projecting Flaherty receiving a 4 year $78 million dollar package. Putting him between Edwardo Rodriguez and John Gray's pay.... https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6774254/2025/11/04/mlb-free-agent-contract-projections/ It just seems a bit steep for me...
  16. Belonged to an APBA League for a long while. (Universal Baseball Association) What began as a face to face league evolved to a mail league. I left after too many discussions about the same issue every year. I miss it but really have no desire to go back. I've been playing a lot of OOTP-Go lately. I like the on line algorithm. Not getting any great offers for Skubal, however
  17. Dang, your fantasy leagues must be real hoots
  18. We know he knew, and he knows he knew, but the folks that worship at the temple of MAGA still believe his gospel
  19. More proof Trump continues to be bad at business. It doesn't matter to him since it's someone else's money. But people of color using food stamp.....
  20. Comedy Central boss Ari Pearce: Stewart's contract extension "is an ongoing commitment to the incisive comedy and sharp commentary that define The Daily Show." He added, "We're proud to support Jon and the extraordinary news team."
  21. The mayor-elect, 44, is popular as a stylish clotheshorse who loves nightlife and opposes Prohibiton; he had also written a hit song, “Will You Love Me in December as You Do in May?” In office, his charm and wit sustain him until corruption scandals drive him out in 1932. In other results, A. Harry Moore, a Democrat who campaigned as a “wet” on Prohibition, is elected governor of New Jersey. Boston gets its first Republican mayor in 18 years, Malcolm Nichols, and the Klan is rebuffed with the loss of its favored mayoral candidate in Detroit.
