  1. I own a Four Seasons Total Landscapping hoodie. I wish i could wear it to work.
  2. Riffing on what will happen to the economy and society as it is potentially remade under Trump. Daddy works, Mommy makes babies and dinner until she loses her reproductive function and then its dinner and watching the babies until Daddy and his new younger Mommy make more babies. Family lives in a home or apartment rented from one of the designated oligarchs -- eventually this will be Trump but possibly intervening period when other Rich guys are still in the mix. Health care will be provided by a designated Q Shaman or Christian Nationalist preacher using the latest spells Science will be whatever suits Trump. Science education will be whatever he thinks at the moment. Coastal property owners among the designated oligarchs will be insured up to 1000% of land value so they can get more value out of that land at the expense of the taxpayers before the land washes away. Although there is no proof of climate change per Trump. All windmills will be removed. If Holland insists on using them as part of their historic legacy they will be invaded and removed. "One Nation Under God" is on the currency but the word "God" is placed on an AI-generated picture of Donald J. Trump lifting weights with an 8-pack abdomen and arms that would make Lou Ferrigno envious. Tuesday is no longer Taco Tuesday and anyone using the phrase sent into orbit via SpaceX rocket.
  3. a lot of playoff "lessons learned" about the Tiger kids who absolutely benefitted from the experience.. I'm not convinced that the Tiger LHH infielders were exposed at all. In a short series a lot of things manifest that are based on scouting, matchups or just having a couple bad swings. I'm optimistic about Trey Sweeny, Jace Jung and Colt Keith based on what i saw in the final two months of the season.
  4. I hope this meeting gets covered and/or its on TV.

  7. Well said here
  8. Best concert: TV Girl last September. Saw it with my daughter and her friend and captured a lot of her energy in enjoying it. The vibe was great, their songs are clever. Live version of "heaven is a bedroom" was awesome. More mainstream band/artist: Peter Gabriel in the late 80s/Van Halen/ aka Van Hagar during the 5150 tour (saw them three times in one weekend) Worst: His Name is Alive in the early 90s when i wasn't really understanding the indy vibe and made some jackassy "play Freebird" like comments during their slow numbers. So really that was a me thing not a band thing. More mainstream bands/artists: Way too many Rush shows because all my nerdy friends were on must see basis with them. I love them but i was tired of it by the end of their run. "Oh they are playing the Spirit of Radio, yay..."
  9. You work to create the best conditions you can. Create the foundation for lifting as many boats as possible. You can't have bad government in the United States because bad government exists in Afghanistan or Russia.
  10. juxtapose this with this
  11. The Rule of Law is the foundation for a stable and successful country, economy, everything. Without it we are nothing. Strongman rule leads to disaster quickly. I had some riff about it being like love in Corintheans but it was too hard to wedge "rule of law" into that stanza.
  12. I think I concur on the 2012 comparisons.
  13. woof My wife was supposed to work downtown today but was diverted to stay home.
  14. Not really amazing to be sure.
  15. This is amazing. He's aping the Russian info op.
  16. credit
  17. which is why SECDEF Lloyd Austin telling Shoigu that he is in command of the greatest force in the history of mankind and that he does not make threats just gives me all the happy feels.
  18. One day Mars will need a governor with absolute powers. It will be a battle between Bezos and Musk to see who gets to establish Mars as the colony of Trump/MAGA
  19. We are always fueled by our resentments of the boomers.
  20. Joe Rogan Reveals Why Kamala Harris Interview Fell Apart (mediaite.com) Some interesting data. Rogan does not want to travel and wants the candidate to come to him for three hours. That is a lot of time in the final week of a campaign.
