But the chorus "What about the Motor City?" is actually pretty cool in the context of NFL refereeing screw jobs of the Detroit Lions. It also is particularly interesting given the state of Michigan roads "this is supposed to be The New World?" If Michigan football fans can adopt "Mr Brightside" despite all the Boomer fans hating it, Lions football fans could adopt this.

actually, to add to this... I think a lot of the Trump-is-inevitable propaganda is designed by the permanent campaign industrial complex to get us to surrender our money to their operations. Everyone knows he's awful except a shrinking number of die hards who can't see in front of their face. So, really i'm not so Pollyanna-ish. I'm basing my cynicism on the cynicism of the political class.

I honestly have a good feeling about this election. I don't know why. I am reminded of the Diary of Anne Frank and I know that deep down, people are actually not that great. That said, i think the cumulative effect of all this will weigh on Trump's appeal in a general election even if he makes it past the primary.
