  1. The danger from a leader who is wounded and vulnerable and who harbors some millenialist** vison of his place in history is that he lashes out. **not as in those kids who refuse to do any work unless they get all the credit and a trophy; but as in the belief that some ideal world can only come after a cataclysm.
  2. rational actor model has some limitations.
  3. This game stunk: Use the AI to see who plunked money on the cardinals in the last 5 minutes before the game.
  4. I will also say...that the UK was the leader in Europe on aid to Ukraine This was a lot to do with Boris Johnson having Ukrainian background.
  5. Shep is borderline Rick Rizz/Bob Rathburn levels of smarmy. Its only his long pedigree as a broadcaster of Michigan basketball that mitigates the artificiality. I do think Mario would be better if a bit too Spartany.
  6. Good point. I think Trump fans believe that all women secretly crave the attention. Reinforced by the types of women (MTG groping Trump's cardboard cutout being a good example) who gravitate towards him.
  7. Its not the CEO of Kraft Foods being anointed in a religious and state ceremony in the capital of the largest international organization of states outside the United Nations by a country that happens to be a member of the five eyes partnership and long running ally of the United States. Also, the gays all dream of being princesses.
  8. I don't think he wants the Ukrainians to win.
  9. Imagine how sad Trump is to know that Putin’s wonder weapons are not all that.
  10. Comment below this about China taking notice is spot on
  11. Boy that is a sopping wet day in London.
  12. Trump should have raped the lawyer is likely what Putin's favorite poster thinks.
  13. That guy...man, him and Joe Buck not doing WS broadcasts will be a net positive for humanity.
  14. I'll be impressed if the gathered troops at Buckingham Palace can form square to repel cavalry.
  15. The ceremony involving the commonwealth forces is impressive to me. This reflecton of the good parts of the Empire has always been a testament to Queen Elizabeth and Winston Churchill's will to make a positive of the end of the Colonial era. And on balance it is.
  16. It is as usual an amazing spectacle.
  17. I think this is the bin we would normally put UK politics in...its amazing to me to see so little activity over the coronation of KC3. Probably for the best. I had a lot of respect for Queen Elizabeth but Charles was always a compromised figure.
  18. i stand very much corrected. I was tired when I posted that.
  19. I got a C because i refused to sleep with the teacher.
  20. I did a diorama on Missouri in elementary school. I think I was excited they had multiple MLB teams. I was too young to remember 1968 (was born in 1967) so the sting of that wasn't so painful. 2006 alas...i felt/feel.
  21. I'm in favor of this team winning in St. Louis.
