I don't doubt there are a lot of moral cowards who would jump at this market friendly way of approaching things. It would have been "smart" to let dictators run things because they always have such a clear perspective on what should be done to get the railroads to run on time. People be damned.

I am really hoping to hit the sweet spot in retirement where I'm close enough to the free-thinking folk of a place like AA and somewhere cheap enough to live and still get down to Comerica Park a couple times a year without having to have too long a commute. On a lake ideally. Super Ideally close enough to walk to ice cream at night. Uber ideally, with enough land where I don't see my neighbor. So, I returned from Michigan to DC area by car. I was on my own so I decided to roll through Ann Arbor area. Lovely. East European guy in Black shirt and BDU pants was asking about various pistols. No masks except for a guy who was looking at the boats.
