Larkin to be a gametime decision. Reimer in net. Should be a playoff atmosphere tonight. Wings are wrapping up a 5-game stretch of winnable games: vs Arizona, vs Buffalo, at Pittsburgh, vs CBJ, vs NYI. I wanted 7 out of 10 points. But so far only 4. A win tonight is a must and would mean a 3-2 record over that 5-game stretch. Not great, but maybe stopping the bleeding.

So Wings are 1 up on Washington but the Caps still have a game in hand. Wings own tiebreaker with more ROWs. That’s about as much of a dead heat as can possibly be. Wings have 76 points with 26 remaining points (13 games) available. Will it take 17-18 points?

Right. If this was during the season and people were saying “well, looks like Sutton committed a serious crime but we have an important game coming up and we should play him anyways this weekend because we really need to beat the Packers”, then I would agree with Payton. But that’s not what is happening. People are thinking that it is highly likely to be the end of Sutton in Detroit, so fine, what does that mean for the cap and how do the Lions plug this new hole. No one is saying law enforcement or the NFL should look the other way just because it impacts the Lions’ secondary.
