Looking forward to watching the 2nd and 3rd periods. I wish the Wings had more Friday night home games like before. 1-1 after 1, the Wings with a Fabbri goal nicely set up by Bertuzzi.

Right, look how easy it is to pick up players like Fabbri or Suter or Namestikov, no great shakes who are always available any offseason. if Rasmussen or Zadina don’t prove within the next 12 months or so that they are more than dime a dozen players, they can be cut loose. Yzerman never drafted them so wont be married to them.

I actually think Raz might end up having a longer stint with the Wings in terms of seasons than Zadina.

So the Wings aren't even on the fringe of the playoffs now. 7 points back with 4 extra games played, so more like 12 or so points back. Second half of the season will be about player development.
