I think sometimes when someone has "soft rock" hits they lose points. Or maybe because they didn't dress flashy or have big hair they kind of get pushed aside a little. Phil Collins gets made fun of, but he was an outstanding technical drummer. He wasn't flashy, but he was really good (back when he still played). Steve Lukather is an amazing guitarist, but because Toto wasn't a metal or hard rock band, he doesn't get mentioned enough. Graham Maby is a great bass player, but he looks like a regular guy. And Lindsay Buckingham will always be underappreciated. Never Going Back Again is not overdubbed. That's him playing it live. And this.........I mean, this Someone give this guy his props

The over 50 folks on this site are the first generation that has totally grown up with TV commercials our entire life. It's part of who we are. Most are forgettable. Some are annoying but there have been a number of memorable and entertaining commercials too. Post ones that you remember or ones that are getting your attention now. I'll start. Highland Appliance in the 70s and 80s were STRONG with commercials. Many were quite quotable "Jonathan can't come out to play right now, He's practicing the piano" "We were going to give our staff the holiday weekend off, but instead, we're having a sale, sound great Hackett? (Unenthusied) Yipee "Whatever happened to Hamburger A La Ketchup" and of course "50 Watts per channel, Babycakes"

DTE is my pet peeve., First of all - a few months ago THEY changed my payment date from the 9th to the 6th. No reason why, they just did. I am set up to auto pay on the 8th. They were giving me Automated shut off calls on the 7th. I have never ever missed a DTE payment in my life. Today, we're getting brown outs and surges at 9am here in Dearborn (it's not just my house, I can see my neighbor's garage light getting brighter and dimmer. The heat hasn't even started yet. Imagine what it's going to be like later when it does heat up and the storms come. Imagine Monday when the high temp is 95-98 degrees. DTE has one of the worst reputations in the country as far as service and blackouts. They're raising rates again.
