Nominating conventions are boring. Can you imagine one where they actually nominate the candidate? I don't think it would hurt, I think it would help, actually. The new energy a Harris, Whitmer, Newsom or Shapiro would bring would be fantastic, it would be an absolute plus. Who would Harris' or Whitmer's Running Mate be? It would have to be someone with some Center or even Military credentials. I would imagine it would have to be a Governor or former Senator. Andy Beshear would be the best fit as a Democrat who is popular in a red state (Kentucky would still vote for Trump, however). I don't think Beshear really even wants that right now. Maybe Roy Cooper. Taylor Swift will be 35 in December. With this celebrity-obsessed culture, that would do it for sure.

Everything has gone epically wrong. This is absolutely horrible. Are they going to trade Skubal? I know Flaherty's gone. Making Torkelson worse by loading his brain with more gobbledygook, watching Riley Greene wither and die at 23 because he has nothing around him, not having a viable option at SS in case Javy played like Javy again (another player they're probably making worse with useless info), signing Colt Keith to an expensive contract before he ever played a game. It's just so awful. Nothing has changed since Avila. This slog is going to continue at least 2-3 more years after this. Absolute brutality. Sell the ****ing team. Here's one thing about Biden. He's been counted out so many times in his career and he always seems to come back. Don't count that aspect out. My impression is that yes, he was under the weather, he sounded like it. Damn microphones don't miss anything. But I also think his handlers, the ones who prepped him for the debate stressed to him "don't get mad", "stay calm" "don't get in a brawl" "be the adult", but I think Biden is a bit of a sneaky brawler and I think really pushing himself to hold back may have rattled him. Let Dark Brandon out. That's what people want to see. Whomever handled his strategy for this debate needs to be shown the door. No matter what, Joe, as in the muck as you can possibly get, you will never be as slimy as Trump. That's impossible. Obama's first debate against Romney was a flop. Same reason. He was far too passive, even for such a vanilla guy like Obama. He got a little testy (by Obama standards) in the later debates and was the clear winner in those. Getting riled up is human. Don't be robotic. Just don't count Joe out. His whole career is full of comebacks.

Remember what they did on 96 about 15 years ago? Closed it from Telegraph to Newburg............tore it out, rebuilt it from scratch, had the actual makeshift concrete plants ON SITE and got it done a month early and it's still in fantastic shape. What they are doing on Southfield is a crime. It's so poorly planned and they won't even fix it right, they'll be back out there in 3 years.

This team's MVP would obviously be voted as Skubal, but I would argue that it's actually Kerry Carpenter. 20-20 in games he starts (I think) 17-24 when he didn't start They were 26-27 until he got injured and they are 11-17 since then. 32-44 since the 5-0 start (3 of those games against the awful White Sox). This is Hinch's 4th year. He and his staff are not making guys better. With Skubal, Olson and Flaherty pitching like this, it's completely unacceptable.
