We're 10 games into the season. Lets not get carried away. He struggled early last year too.

What are the 5 best tracks? We're featuring them every hour for Feature Artist Friday this week on 107one.

Morgan Waller threw a chair off a 6 story roof (from a bar). Think his sales will go up again? Or only if the cops he almost hit were Black?

Kriedler hurt again? No way ! He's on the Anthony Rendon plan. Might as well cut our losses there. -

Meadows needs to work on some things and Toledo's the spot to do it - just for now. If it was Baez going on the IL, wouldn't they be calling up an infielder? -
I think he said that just to piss of Scherzer. You know those two............ Anyway, How about the fact that with travel teams and tournaments that kids are throwing a LOT more than they used to at an early age and they are throwing harder and more breaking pitches before their arms are even fully developed. But, as JV says, it's a lot of things. Why did the Beatles break up? 100 reasons why. You can make a case for all of them to be THE reason, but it was the combination.

But at home too.

If this one holds, the Tigers record vs. the A's since 2015 is 14-42. A .250 winning Pct. I think the only time they had a winning record in one season was 2016 at 4-3. What the hell is it. Are they afraid of teams with green uniforms or something.

Once Oakland scored their 3rd run this one was over. So, what is the Tigers record vs. The A's the last 10 years. Feels like Oakland is playing .700 ball vs. the Tigers, no matter how good or bad they may be. We can't seem to beat this team.

The MLBPA is blaming the pitch clock on pitcher injuries, but I seem to recall that a couple of years ago, before the pitch clock, there were still a lot of pitcher injuries. We know about that around here, don't we? Remember 2022. Every one of our Opening Day rotation got hurt. What did we use, 16 different starters that year?

What I remember about the no-no is that Jack walked 6 and at one point walked the bases loaded and almost got thrown out for arguing. It was almost exactly a year after Milt Wilcox lost a perfect game with 2 outs in the 9th. I wonder how many pitches he threw that day............140 ?

It was 40 years ago today. Another Jack starting today..................what if ?????

I have been voting for Democrats and supporting Democrats and they have NEVER offered me any baby blood at all. Ever. I'm really tired, I need it. MTG is saying the earthquake and solar eclipse are some sort of punishment from God. Did anyone actually inform her that other than a small silver of southern Illinois and western New York, the path of totality is going through all RED states? And that part if Illinois ain't Democratic.

Maybe come up with something less lame than the pizza spear. I might be so embarrassing that they are avoiding scoring. I have an idea. Mark Canha leads off (OBP guy), Gio bats second (makes contact). Who cares if Canha isn't fast. Parker might need to feast on some Tony Packo's for a few weeks until he gets comfortable. Not giving up on him, but a tweaking is needed.

I don't think Joey Wentz is goin to be here very long. He's horrible. Breathing and Left-Handed shouldn't equal a spot in the big leagues. He ain't foolin' anyone.

Great throw and tag by CK and Harvey.

Any other park that's a HR for Carp

His HRIP is pretty hgh.

Wow. Mr. Batting Practice. Hey buddy, you got a guy who was working on a no-no Thursday who wants a spot on this team. Might want to hunker down and stop giving up NO-DOUBTER home runs. This is brutal.

How does one look up Head to Head stats vs. certain teams on baseball-reference? I want to see how the Tigers have done against Oakland over the years, because it feels like they always have our number.

The movie Major League in real life. This sucks. Oakland actually had good fans (when the team TRIES to win). Billy Beane should be ashamed of himself. I have lost every ounce of respect for him. Don't you think that maybe it's time for some sort of legislation to prevent these sports owners from holding teams hostage with the ransom of "build me a stadium or else......"? As soon as the Orioles got good again, Angelos was threatening to take them away. The Brewers and White Sox continue making threats and baseball is considering expansion? Tanking for a better draft pick is a good strategy. Tanking to yank a team away from it's fans is a crime. They'll just be called The A's. Why not just have them tour the country and play in Salt Lake, Charlotte, San Antonio, Nashville, Indy, Montreal.......get an idea of how the perception for baseball is before considering expansion.

Saturday Morning 4.6.24. 20 is a good rarity score, I think. I did not go all Tiger-connected βΎοΈ Immaculate Grid 370 9/9: Rarity: 20 IMMACULATE! π©π©π© π©π©π© π©π©π© Play at: https://immaculategrid.com @immaculategrid x @baseball_ref

2024 DETROIT TIGERS REGULAR SEASON THREAD
Motor City Sonics replied to chasfh's topic in Detroit Tigers
Start of the season (before first pitch) 20-20 would have been good enough for me in the first 40. They'd only need to go 14-19 for that. So my expectation has changed. 23-17 is my hope now. They'd need to go 17-16 for that now. With their schedule, they can do that. I don't care that we're only beating bad teams. That's what you need to do. Beat up on the bad, stay within .500 against the good. Do that, and we're playing games in October. Early season observations are - I don't care about each player's batting average. Doesn't matter. Find ways to get runs in when you need them and they are doing that very well. The hitting will come around when it warms up a bit. - The pitching has been epic and we're lucky that Chris Fetter stayed. He'll be a manager in MLB next year. - "Hey Matt, that was fantastic how you no-hit the Mets in an emergency start, now go back to Toledo". I get it, who else could you send down? But Kenta is going to become the target of fans if he's terrible while Manning angrily tears up AAA. - Canha, Urshela might not be the big shiny pretty toys, but they were very good acquisitions for this team. Urshela is an opportunistic hitter that will never wow you with stats, but will get it done. Canha does what he does. Colt and Tork have had some hard luck hitting lazer beams that merely show up as outs in the stats. - Every win now is one less needed in September. How badly do you think the Red Wings want those losses to the terrible Arizona Coyotes back? Has your record at the 40 game mark expectation changed, or did you see them going something like 7-4 in these first 11 games. I still hate Chris Sale. -

What the hell did I do? Whatever you think I did, I didn't do. Been home all day. I didn't do nothin', man.
