  1. Darn shame, the Packers being 0-1 and all....... I don't root for Jordan Love to be seriously injured.
  2. R.I.P. Sergio Mendes - great musician - one of the most influential of all time
  3. Can't beat the ****ing Oakland A's 8-31 against them since 2018
  4. I think that umpire has a bet on the A's tonight.
  5. I always liked Daz Cameron and hoped he'd figure it out (not tonight, mind you), but he's the definition of a AAAA player.
  6. I flip it off every time I drive past it.
  7. I used to be angry at the father of Columbine shooter Eric Harris - Wayne Harris. Wayne knew his kid had weapons and suspected he might be trying to build explosive devices in his basement but didn't stop him. But Wayne did get his boy to a Therapist on several occasions, it wasn't enough, but he tried SOMETHING. Did this jackass? The Crumbleys sure as hell didn't. And here's the thing - if the Crumbleys only TRIED to get their son help, neither one of them would be in jail right now. Red Flags all over and daddy buys him a gun. What the **** is wrong with people?
  8. Now watch the Right go after Jennifer Carter.
  9. A million thank yous to the Oakland County Prosecutors who set a new precedent that the SUPPLIERS of these horrible weapons will be part of the charges. Maybe more people will wake up and realize children shouldn't have guns like this. You can still take your kids hunting, but you won't be using THESE types of weapons. Took brass balls for the folks in Oakland County to take that (seemingly) risky step, but now we see it being followed in Georgia. Well done, Karen McDonald & Crew. Your persistence will eventually save lives !
  10. Nobody wore them in the first game. This is going to be one of those things where guys don't want to look soft - so they won't wear them at first. Remember - in the NHL there was resistance to wearing helmets at first.
  11. The difference between Trump and Jim Jones is there was a time when Jim Jones actually did help people - especially the homeless - then he figured out he could grift people. Trump was always a grifter and never did a goddamned thing for anyone else in his life.
  12. She ought to know. She was shot in Guyana https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/congresswoman-jackie-speier-jonestown-survivor-trump-has-all-the-trappings-of-being-the-next-jim-jones/ar-BB1oFf6E
  13. Dear Trump supporters. Dear Leader has acquired some land in Guyana and the great thing is that it already has huts and a pavilion - built in the 70s. You can live under Dear Leader's unquestioned rule as he gets on the mic several times a day and speaks (rambling incoherent) truths to you. And if any reporters or Congresspeople come snooping around, we know how to deal with them. Come on down and live in the perfect world of Trumptown. There's plenty to drink too !
  14. I still see more Trump signs on lawns, but I think folks might be like me - I think some Trump supporters are so unstable that if I put a sign out in front of my house, my tires will get slashed or something like that. It's a cult. Cults do crazy things.
  15. Kept this season from seriously slipping away tonight. I think he's figured this out.
  16. We're around 5 games out but tangled up with several other teams, which makes it harder. They're going to have to play about .667 baseball the rest of the way, so 15-7. That gives them 85 wins and I don't know that it's enough. Everyone needs to stop looking past the upcoming A's series. I am sure they aren't but the Tigers are 8-30 vs. Oakland since 2018.
  17. I am waiting for him to just yell SAN DIMAS HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL RULES
  18. There's only 29 managerial jobs in MLB (and the White Sox job too) - so there aren't many opportunities to become a manager. If offered he might not want to pass it up.
  19. Then I have to remind myself. This was always supposed to be an evaluation year anyway. At least they're keeping it interesting in September for a change. #1 priority this offseason is DON'T LET CHRIS FETTER GET AWAY ! Make him the highest-paid pitching coach in history, but pay him. Teams are going to be calling for his services as a manager, so money will need to be paid to keep him. He's worth every penny.
  20. I feel like this is it. They don't pull one game out of this series and they're toast. Everyone keeps posting that we're playing the A's like those are gimmies. We can't beat the A's when they suck, and they don't suck anymore. They have to win this game tonight and then take 2 out of 3 from the A's. If those two things don't happen it's over. Even if they do the odds are still not in our favor for a playoff berth.
  21. Are you sure it wasn't just Marshawn Lynch "I'm just about that action, Boss"
  22. First they took Bobby Layne and now this !
  23. I would rather have this than a Cybertruck
