Big questions are 1. Is Miggy looking to be in good shape, has he slimmed down? 2. Is Bonderman's Change-Up coming along? -

For lo, my hangover is gone, the pain is mostly over and gone: the Tylenol appears on my counter and the time of the clearing of throat is come and the voice of Tom Waits is heard in my house. -

For lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone: the flowers appear on the earth: the time of the singing of birds is come and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land. Welcome back, baseball, be kind to us this year. At least keep it interesting all the way til September. We're hungry. -
Abortion and the Politics of Reproductive Rights in the Post-Roe Era

I wonder how many he's paid for (or had someone pay for him). Bet it's more than 1 -
Adam Ruzicka might be one of the dumbest guys in the NHL................sorry, formerly in the NHL. Stay off Social Media if you're that dumb.

This whole argument is stupid. It was based on a brain-dead caller who seemed to be unaware of Trev's reputation on the field, not even off it. From what I have seen, there were no tears on ANY teams when he left. Remember, calls come in with people that say "We should trade Kerry Carpenter for Nolan Arenado". Some kind of people that say we should trade for Anthony Rendon. -

You have to consider everything now - since the Duke Lacrosse story and the UVA Frat Rape false stories - and that's unfortunate. Those two things did more to hurt future rape victims than to help them. Trevor Bauer's a weird weird guy and he's probably into some weird things, but I am not 100% convinced that she's the victim she claims to be. Is it possible (like in the Middle East) that both side are wrong? Anyway, I don't want a guy who's going to piss off his teammates and set a bad example for the youths in the organization. Good luck in South Korea, Trev. (or wherever he pitches). -

When I went to school I wasn't allowed to drive or park on campus. Only Seniors and Juniors could drive/park on campus. So if you had a car and lived at the dorms, you had to park off-campus and walk. If you were a Freshman or Sophomore and got caught parking on campus, you got towed and it was quite expensive to get your car back. -

I don't even think the sexual assault stuff matters. It seems like a lot of people hated him before that ever came to light. We have a pretty young team, we don't need that poison in the locker room. -

I am not 100% certain that Parker Meadows and Colt Keith are making the team out of Spring Training. Maybe the Gio signing is a way to make both guys kind of prove they belong. Gio's on the team which moves Vierling back to an OF slot and McKinstry/Ibanez to Second - for now. -

Spend on what? Were we ever in on Ohtani? Let me help you. NO. Yamamoto? NO Sonny Gray is 34 and the Cardinals will regret the deal. I am so thankful the Tigers didn't do anything like that. Cody Bellinger? Where would we play him? How many years does he want? Aaron Nola re-signed with Philly right away. Blake Snell? Probably wants too much money for too long. Matt Chapman? This year's Rich Aurilia. Who were we supposed to spend so much money on? Can't just spend money to spend money. Need to have a reason backing it. I'd rather have them focus on drafting and developing at this point. Hopefully this young talent continues to improve and we can fatten our payroll with our own guys. That's the goal, build from within. The Rangers broke a trend of spending to win a Series, but it hasn't been like that lately. For all the money the Dodgers spend they still only have one ring, from a year that barely counts. The Mets spend like crazy. Did it help them? I don't undestand the Gio signing unless this team just believes Vierling/McKinstry/Ibanez was going to be a defensive disaster. I mean, it's 1.5 million, so no big deal. I thought this year was all about evaluation. -

Regarding the Lions. Don't forget that Ferguson kid. He's gonna be good. -
Ruby Franke going to prison. She won't be taped to a chair, however, like she did to her children. Because that's what Joseph Smith would do? Another right-wing "family values" Republican. **** that whole party and **** Alabama again. Yes, I have lost friends over them being Trump supporters. I find those people absolutely poisonous and I don't want them anywhere in my life.

Yep. He just admitted a crime.

**** Alabama.

2023 MLB (non-Tigers) catch all thread

Rachel Phelps needs to sell the team. I hate what they're doing to their fans. It's straight out of that movie. Whats going on with Blake Snell and Cody Bellinger? I don't want the Tigers to consider either one of them. I don't like Snell, feels like he's only in it for the money. Are they asking for way too much or way too long? If fSnell doesn't sign in the next week, he's not going to be on an Opening Day roster. I know some Tiger fans still talk about Matt Chapman. I don't know. I don't think he's all that great. Reminds me of Rich Aurilia. Boy did we luck out there. -

Expansion Cities (counting the A's in Vegas now) 1 - Nashville - Yes, this makes sense. The Rays or Marlins would be better off here. 2 - San Jose - If Manfred thinks A's fans will switch to the Giants he's more out of touch than any of us believed. Tech nerds do like baseball. 3 - Montreal - Still too many economic barriers. With the two most precious resources on the globe being oil and fresh water, Canada should be more of a powerhouse. Put a team in Letterkenny. They'd love to have a baseballs team there. Figger It Oout 4 - Indianapolis. City of freeways. Great location. No Summer competition for a team sport, but The Cubs, White Sox, Cardinals and Reds would block. 5 - New Jersey - Actually the best spot, it has the population and NJ has the highest per capita income in the U.S., but Yankees, Mets, Phillies, Orioles, Nats would fight it and they'd win. Steve Cohen would have an aneurysm 6 - Charlotte or Raleigh - Nothing to block them, but I don't know that they'd care that much about baseball 7 - Salt Lake City - They're making a push to get the NHL there, they'll go for baseball too. 8 - Vancouver - If you feel Western Canada needs representation. 50 - Portland - 81 home games = 81 protests = 81 disruptions. That town is a political nightmare. Everything pisses them off there. My sister, a true liberal, couldn't even stand it anymore it's so extreme. If you're a white person who has a taco truck, they'll shut you down for cultural appropriation. If you're a white person wearing a Bob Marley t-shirt they'll scream at you. You'd be better off looking at San Juan, Monterrey, or even Hawaii or Japan before going to Portland (who have never really even supported a minor league team). If there were absolutely no obstacles at all 1 - New Jersey, 2- Nashville, 3- San Jose 4- Indianapolis, 5- Charlotte, 6- Montreal and who cares after that. -
