Great new song. I wouldn't call myself a big Kacey Musgraves fan, but I might be now with this album. This song is about John Prine and has a great "Clearmountain Pause" at the 2:30 mark.

The wins are - setting a precedent for future enablers and getting two more lunatics off the street I feel bad for the kid. If he had parents that acted like compassionate parents instead of selfish children themselves he might have had a chance. Maybe. Doesn't seem like the kind of kid that would have had the street sense to get a gun on the black market. Oh, and the win because it's two fewer MAGA morons on election day. Wasn't their gun, it was his gun, a gun they bought for a troubled 15 year old. Some court will overturn it at some point because we live in a country of gun-loving lunatics, like the Crumbleys, who, to the best of my knowledge, were not part of a well-regulated militia.

STANDING OVATION TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY PROSECUTORS AND TO THE JURY. The kid was begging for help and they did nothing. If they had even tried ANYTHING to help him, neither would be facing prison time right now. 2 fewer votes for Trump, too. It's a win-win.

2023 MLB (non-Tigers) catch all thread
Motor City Sonics replied to Tigeraholic1's topic in Detroit Tigers
It's nice to come here and socialize with people who know what's going on. Coming across other places and posts where people are furious that Jackson Jobe isn't starting Opening Day, much less coming North with the team because he struck out 2 guys destined for A-ball in a meaningless game. Freaking out because he can throw it 102 mph. I try to explain that Matt Anderson could hit 102 as well and the general answer is "who?". Why don't they just send Baez to Toledo? Don't try bother explaining anything about MLB options. It's like talking to a flat earther. -
What does this say about the rest of this team. Larkin goes down and it is over. What a weak bunch this is.

If that is how they are making decisions, I don't feel comfortable about the future at all. They should both be gone. Jim's not here to protect Warde anymore. Clean break time. As Worm says to Mike McDermitt in Rounders "It's Highway Time". Paye Heem. Paye thyat myan hees mahney and send him out of town. Isn't Warde Manuel in charge of the upcoming playoff format for college football?

Has any else's DTE bills been through the roof the last 3 months? Mine are insane and we had an easy winter. I literally keep my house 60 degrees at night (I like it chilly when sleeping).

Aaron Rodgers on the list to be RFK Jr's running mate? LOL. He's now sharing Sandy Hook conspiracies. Perfect choice.

I remember walking in there and seeing Dollar Tree on one side and Family Dollar and for about 10 seconds I thought I had stumbled onto a portal into an alternate universe. And I thought if the alternate universe still had a dollar store on the same spot than I probably wouldn't be better off, so I stayed on the Family Dollar side. Then I heard another customer ask about it and they said it was a merger, then I realized I hadn't unlocked the door to the multiverse, so I paid for my 3 beef & cheese sticks (which cost twice as much at a "convenience" store and I departed.

Karl Wallinger from the Waterboys and more famously World Party, has passed away at 66. I really liked World Party. "Goodbye Jumbo" and "Bang" were great albums of the early 90s with incredible production. I saw World Party a few times live and when I got to broadcast from Bonnaroo I got to meet him, briefly. They hadn't toured in some time and I asked why and he told me about a brain aneurysm he had in 2001 - it almost killed him and messed up his eyesight permanently. I had no idea. He was very nice and his remark about the weather that day "its hot as bollocks" gave everyone a good laugh. He hadn't been active lately, but he died on Sunday. He's the person that gave Sinead O'Connor her start. No video for this song, but the production is just stellar And an all-time favorite of mine

Well, not first degree but putting people in planes using a system their own pilots didn't even know about and being warned by several of their pilots that this was really bad............I think it meets the Crumbley Threshold. Boeing is lucky this happened really far away in countries that most Americans don't even care about, because if two planes had gone down for this reason in this country, there would be no more Boeing. They'd be gone. They probably should be anyway after this. Maybe they will be when more of the truth comes out. Boeing's very existence could hinge on this guy and well, problem solved? The FAA needs a complete overhauling after lazily allowing companies like Boeing to monitor themselves. A lot of people complain about government oversight getting in the way, but this is the reason we need it. People in part of West Virginia can't drink their local water because they chased the EPA away and a company the EPA was investigating polluted it. I don't believe that guy killed himself. I don't believe Jeffrey Epstein did either, but he was an evil person, so I think the world's a better place without him, so I don't care. But I do care about who made that decision and why.

Detroit Lions 2024 Offseason Thread
Motor City Sonics replied to Mr.TaterSalad's topic in Detroit Lions
Drafting so well means you get a whole bunch of good players with contracts to extend and they will lose some of them. I understand why they aren't spending big. Because they're going to have to soon anyway. -
I mean, Boeing already murdered 346 people with the 737MAX............what's one more, right?
-
I don't want to believe in conspiracies, but I have a few (2002 Game 6 NBA Western Conference Finals was fixed, 1985 NBA Draft lottery was fixed and Oswald did not act alone), but then the whistleblower in the Boeing case "commits suicide". I'm not buying that. I'm just not.
-
not just that.

What a weak bunch this team is. Their leader goes out and they quit. The flat-out quit. I question it all at this point. How many more years do we have to wait, Yzerman?

Who is left from the Bob Quinn era? Ragnow Decker Okwara Cobinda and (sort of) Reeves-Maybin Is that it? -
I don't remember any band in Boston called the Stompers. I do, however, recall The Stawmpahs

I know he wasn't facing major leaguers, but DAYAM, they probably wouldn't hit him either.

I think that was our play of the year. -
Taylor Swift gonna drive MAGA crazy. Not into her music, but she's trollin' them big time. Call me a "Swiftie" now.
