I like Vierling. I think he's an every day guy and he might be the best player in that whole trade for either side.

Maybe playing third every day was a distraction. Anyway, Nick Maton is a better hitter than he's shown this year. I really believe that. I think he fell into a hole and started thinking too much. Not saying he's an All Star, but he's not a .160 hitter either. I think the manager was foolish to keep putting him in the 5 spot, I think it just made everything worse. Maybe the Tony Packo diet let him take a breather. It doesn't matter if someone bats left or right if they don't hit at all. Putting at 7 or 8 in the lineup could help too. Don't give up on him. I think he's at least a decent utility guy.

If you combined offensive and defensive WAR, isn't Lou #2 or #3 all time for Second Baseman? Oh yeah, he didn't do interviews - gotta punish him for that.

Not only do we not get a game on All Star Thursday, we have to wait until Friday and it's a West Coast game. Ugh. I don't know why I capitalized West Coast

Maybe a lot of these athletes would be a lot happier if they just came out of the closet and admitted they're gay or bisexual, because so many of these hazing scandals could lead one to no other conclusion. It's freaking weird. My only hazing was in college radio where you'd get thwacked in the head with an album (in it's cover) while talking on the air. If you got through it without messing up your break , you were gold..........if you messed up your break you got TWO albums in the sleeve, then three and so on. No way that would fly today because technically it's an assault, but nobody really got hurt and it sure wasn't anything sexual. (you have no idea how many completely useless albums our college station would get - - stuff that would never get played and just took up space).

I have not watched The Bear yet. Our station just re-added "Strange Currencies" by R.E.M. because of it's use in the show. Won't be the same comeback as Kate Bush's song from Stranger Things, but yeah, people have requested it.

Has BCS ever won a single Emmy? I think they've been snubbed. To me, the biggest snub (they submit acting performances for single episodes) was Michael McKean in the Chicanery episode (his meltdown in Jimmy's hearing). He was so freaking brilliant in that episode. He wasn't even nominated. He was so good in that role. The same guy that played Lenny and David St. Hubbins in Spinal Tap played that soulless, jealous, scheming crank to perfection. (and, as we all know Chuck was 100% right about Jimmy). My guess is that Ms. Seehorn was nominated for the Waterworks episode. Geez, the Shuttle Scene alone would have been enough, but that whole episode she was brilliant. The only character in BCS that left it with a shot at redemption.

RHEA SEEHORN NOMINATED FOR AN EMMY ! It's about time. She was brilliant the whole series, but especially the last 2 seasons. Even though I see her as a Lead, she is nominated for Supporting Actress (It's the show runner's decision on which category to submit actors for).

These long all star breaks...............I miss you bastards.

Major pet peeve for me is that the All Stars don't wear their team's uniforms anymore. They need to bring that back.
