  1. I do find it weird that both Texas teams are in the same league. Now that the DH is universal, I think we may see a reshuffling of divisions, especially if there is expansion. I'm just not sure baseball can really handle expansion. A's already moving to Vegas. Don't know what's happening with the Rays. Will they actually build a good stadium in a easier-to-reach spot in Tampa or would they be better off in Orlando? Then where do you expand? Montreal? Lots of issues there money-wise (Canada has so much oil and fresh water, they should be the richest country of the future, but for the now......I don't know). Charlotte? Not sure they give a hoot about baseball there. Portland? Even as a liberal myself, that city is a political nightmare. Extreme liberalism is as bad as extreme conservatism. They protest everything there. They are never happy with anything. My sister moved away because she couldn't stand it anymore and she's pretty liberal, Plus, if you think there's problems with homeless people at Tiger games........that's nothing compared to what Portland games would be like. No chance of public funding there. Vancouver? Lots of money in that town, but do they want baseball there? They'd have to have a dome or retractable stadium. Their population (metro) is about the same as Pittsburgh, which is considered a "small" market here. They did not grow up with MLB baseball, though. Indianapolis? No competing Summer sport, but also about the same size as Pittsburgh. Plus the Cardinals, White Sox, Cubs and Reds would lobby against it. Nashville? To me that is the #1 relocation spot, but it's smaller than Cleveland. There is money there and it feels like the population is growing. Not hard to get to. I think New Jersey would be an excellent place for a MLB team, but there is no way the Mets, Phillies and Yankees are ever going to allow that. If baseball expands to 32 several teams will need to be supported by the current teams (not just the 2 new ones). I don't think the current owners want to share anymore.
  2. I'm not saying it's true, but if it is, it's probably over for him. If he was 21 and she was 17, I don't know that it's absolutely unforgivable. 17 is still an age of consent in some places. In Florida it's 18, but I think if the parents don't push the issue it's not pursued. Remember, Sergei Fedorov was dating a 15 year old during his time with the Red Wings, but her family was fine with it.
  3. Well, "on the shelf" probably means "in the hole" for at least 5 years.........he'll be more radioactive than the elephant's foot at Chernobyl after that. He's probably finished.
  4. You wanna play a little baseball? It's such a great scene. Comes out of nowhere and Alfred Molina steals the movie in 10 minutes.
  5. The resemblance is striking
  6. with much fewer bruises, but he kind of needs to make something happen this year. Now the Lions will be likely trying to find another WR before the season starts. HEY, THIS IS THE YEAR TRINITY BENSON FINALLY SHOWS WHY THEY TRADED FOR HIM !!!!
  7. Doing instead of shouting tends to work better. It's not exciting, though.
  8. Well Georgia wants full transparency, so they publish the names of the Grandy Jury members, and those names and addresses are now being shared online. So if we want transparency, lets go all the way. I think there is a chance that one of these members of the Grand Jury is going to be harmed or killed. As crazy as following a 13 year old girl might sound. Remember, conspiracy theorists have killed their own children over this nonsense. One man shot and killed his 2 year old and 10 month old with a spear gun because he believed his wife had passed serpent DNA onto them and they would grow up to destroy the world. Before believing this kind of stuff, just a couple years ago, this guy was leading a fairly normal life. The proof that the wife passed on the serpent DNA was that she voted for Democrats, by the way. Thanks internet.
  9. Hey, did you guys know that Jeff Petry's dad used to play for the Tigers? Did you guys know that Matthew Stafford and Clayton Kershaw were on the same little league team?
  10. I didn't click the link, it isn't Schemmie Schembechler, is it?
  11. I wonder why the deal fell apart. Did the NCAA want to have an official watch Harbaugh on game day? Did they want to monitor his phone records? If you're Michigan, just wait it out.........the NCAA is falling apart anyway. They're practically meaningless at this point.
  12. Lindstrom demanded to be traded after the fans wouldn't stop calling him Lidstrom.
  13. What if he just decided to not show up for an arraignment. What would happen then?
  14. Rudy and Meadows and Powell too. These nutjobs threw their reputations away for this scumbag. That DA's life and former Lt. Gov (a conservative Republican) life are now in danger because of his statements the his cult will react. We got you on the phone, mother****er, trying to overturn an election. Clear as day. Treason. Thank goodness Brad Raffensperger and Brian Kemp have spines. We know what the penalty for Treason could be, don't we? Racketeering. Talks like a mobster, acts like a mobster - only a mobster that can't succeed at running a casino. HE FAILED AT RUNNING A CASINO ! That's like failing at selling air conditioning in Arizona, another state he ****ing lost.
  15. I guess a big priority for Republicans is cutting free meals to school kids. Instead they probably want to give them guns to go shoot squirrels for food. And it's amazing how many people who actually rely on this to feed their kids will vote for Republicans............you know, cause of those damned drag queens.
  16. One of "Harris' Guys". Didn't we do that with Randy Smith (and Bob Quinn with the Lions)?
  17. everyone seems to forget that part.
  18. I got one right because in high school I did an essay about the Seattle Pilots only season and one answer played for that team.
  19. ⚾️ Immaculate Grid 133 9/9: Rarity: 54 IMMACULATE! 🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩 Play at: https://immaculategrid.com @immaculategrid x @baseball_ref Is a lower rarity score better or worse?
  20. Kind of scratching my head and the call up of Isan Diaz when Ryan Kreidler and Andre Lipcius are both already on the 40 man.
  21. Thing that kind of blows me away is that the Tigers are 48-46 if you take out the AL East. Plus, if they hadn't lost themselves when Riley got hurt and went on that awful 9 game losing street. If they had just gone 4-5 in that stretch, they'd be 56-59 and just 3 games out. Frustrating season. With all the injuries and terrible offense, they technically are still in this thing. But they can't lose a series the rest of the way........if they chip away and win 2 out of every 3..........who knows. 79 wins could grab this division this year, and sure, they probably wouldn't go far, but hey, who knows, just being there for 1 extra game would be fun. Looking ahead, to me. they seem set in the OF. Vierling-Greene-Carpenter with Baddoo and Parker Meadows is probably just fine. Starting catcher, despite the low BA, is one of their best players. Better keep Chris Fetters around because he gets the most out of that staff (with a lot of help from Jake Rogers) Torkelson has given us hope. I think he's on track to be a 30 HR guy (if he could only hit 'em where they ain't, because he hits it as hard as anyone in baseaball). It's the rest of the infield. That's the weakest part right there. No guarantee that Colt Keith steps in as a rookie and shines next year. Man, I just hope Javy opts out and they can upgrade that infield. Keeping McKinstry as the SuperSub would be fine, but he's not an every day guy. Even though I still think every thing they do should be aimed at 2025 and beyond, in this this division, you can still be building and win it.
  22. Martin Bandyke will be doin at two-hour tribute to Robbie Robertson on Fine Tuning tomorrow afternoon from 4-6pm on 107.1 in Ann Arbor - and at annarbors107one.com
  23. Honestly, Schools should just start telling the NCAA to pound sand. They only have authority because the big conferences let them. The NCAA is a joke.
  24. Won't the Big Ten West just almost be the Pac 10 now (sort of). I do think the Big 10 will bring in Stanford and Cal, they're just hesitating to maybe get them to take less. East - Rutgers - Maryland - Penn State - Ohio State - Michigan - Michigan State - Indiana - Purdue - Illinois - Northwestern West - Wisconsin - Minnesota - Iowa - Nebraska - USC - UCLA - Cal - Stanford - Washington - Oregon 9 Division Games 2 Non Conference games (so your CMUs and Bowling Greens can make some money) Top 2 teams in each conference make the playoff. The 2nd place West takes on the 1st place East and vice versa. The Winners play in the Big Tens championship
  25. No touchdowns anywhere with #10 on the field. What number will Teddy wear? I think #4 might be the only QB number that is available.................well, maybe #10 in a few days. This team's going nowhere without Tom Kennedy.
