  1. Sarcasm, for those who don't understand me. The ironic thing about it is that ESPN probably had way more people tuning in after 10pm than during a normal MNF game.
  2. But think of the money they lost. It was money. They lost money, man. All that ad revenue that has to be paid back. Can't lose money. Player health and safety, yeah, that's all well and good, but the money, think of the money !
  3. Saw the replay again, it was the hit that caused it, but when he went down his chest went right on top of the Bengal player's helmet/facemask.
  4. Heart's in the middle of a rhythm something disrupts it (Commotio Codis = Commotion of The Heart) and it starts trying to find it's rhythm again and seizes up, like a gear coming loose in a machine and grinding it to a stop. It could happen to anyone if you are struck in the chest. Surprise this does not happen more often in football, actually. This happened, do a much lesser degree, to Chris Pronger in a game against the Wings when he blocked a shot with his chest and he collapsed to the ice a couple seconds late, but he never passed out and his heart never stopped but it was beating erratically for quite some time. Scared the hell out of him, let getting the wind knocked out of you. Temporary injury but it is scary as hell.
  5. The fact that he had trained medical experts there, less than 15 seconds after he collapsed, will probably save his life. I hope so. It saved Reggie Brown's. Dale Earnhardt was part of a sport where every single lap death is a possibility and was he so aggressive with his car. He didn't deserve to die, but he flirted with danger all the time, not just the standard driving but the "rubbing".....rubbing at 200 mph is insane. Hamlin plays a violent game where guys are bigger and faster than ever and it was just a freak hit. Jiri Fischer will be the one that always gets me, because his could have happened if he was driving or sitting at home and he's lucky his happened where it did. I don't know what you do if you are the NFL but we have seen several incidents this year in prime time games. There was nothing dirty about the play. It was routine, it was just freak timing. People aren't supposed to do this kind of thing to their bodies, like crash test dummies out there sometimes, and that's even when the game is played cleanly.
  6. Yes, they replayed it at another date and started with Nashville maintaining their 1-0 lead. Fuck the standings, Skip, you fucking ghoul. Two teams will just have one fewer game -- or they can finish it tomorrow if the young man survives. I don't think the Bills, Bengals or Chiefs really give a shit about that right now. Blow to the chest just at the precise time in the cardiac cycle. And John Stockton, before you even go there - shut the fuck up, it was a blow to the chest, like the boy that died from a line drive in the little league game, the boy didn't have trained emergency staff to help him but Hamlin did, so hopefully those seconds made a difference.
  7. New Coaching Hot Seat rankings with one week left (Interims don't count) 1 - Kliff Kingsbury, Arizona. No-brainer. As the Trinity Killer says on Dexter's kill table "It's already over:. 2 - Ron Rivera, Washington. Back on the list. Reason #1 is putting Wentz back in at starter based on Heinecke having one bad game. A colossal mistake. Reason #2 is that he was unaware his team could be eliminated from the playoffs today. That's inexcusable. Plus, I have a feeling we'll have a new owner in DC next year who will want to start fresh., 3 - Mike Vrabel, Tennessee. The collapse of the Titans is profound. A win vs. the Jags at Jacksonville can still win them the division, but even so, unless he was to guide them to the AFC Championship, he'll be out. A new GM is coming in anyway, the call will be theirs. If I have to have a top 5 4 - Kevin Stefanski, Cleveland (I think he'd get another shot within two years) 5 - Arthur Smith, Atlanta (game management as bad as Hackett in Denver) So the open jobs will likely be Already Open Carolina - Steve Wilkes gets screwed again, Owner will want to make a big splash Indianapolis - They will make a very serious run at Harbaugh and there won't need to be an interview Denver - Condi Rice will be one of the 2 or 3 people that makes the hire. Forget Beineimy, too much personal baggage (he's not a great guy). Probably Open Arizona - Byron Leftwich had his coaching internship there, he could return Tennessee - Vrabel got stale and Henry's getting older. If they land a good QB, maybe their fortunes change. Could Jim Schwartz be the first ex-Head Coach of the Lions to get another shot in over 50 years? Washington - Totally no idea what happens in the offseason, it's a trainwreck, but Ron Rivera's lack of awareness and bungling of the QB situation was very bad. It Depends Dallas - another quick playoff exit seals Mike McCarthy's fate LA Rams - (if McVay walks away) - Sean Payton's gig if McVay leaves Atlanta & Cleveland aren't likely, but something could happen there.
  8. With Aaron Rodgers going to the Raiders next year and the Vikings being frauds, there is no reason the Lions shouldn't be the favorite in the NFC North next year. Derek Carr is a good QB, but the Packers are kind of meh.
  9. If only they'd won that game in Minnesota. they'd be 9-7 and they would have it clinched right now, wouldn't they? So frustrating.
  10. How the hell are the Vikings 12-3 (about to be 12-4). Losing by 31 right now, so their point diff, at 12-4 would be -26, and that's if they hold Green Bay to the current score with 6 minutes left. Worst 12-4 team ever. The Lions will play their final game with a shot of making the playoffs. That's a great leap forward. I don't think they'll make it, but the fact we will be watching a meaningful game on Elvis' Birthday is astonishing considering their 1-6 start. CORRECTION: Could play that final game with a shot. If Seattle wins vs. the Rams earlier in the day, it'll be over for the Lions and the Packers. Playoffs or Bust next year. They'll have an easier time attracting free agents now.
  11. A 41-3 after that first drive.....................the drive that was so easy for the Bears.
  12. I am now the biggest Jets fans this side of Jersey.
  13. Rumor is that new Uni's are coming next year............some are speculating it might be more of a nod to the 90s uniforms with the big white numbers, silver outlined. The shade of blue on the throwbacks is different and I wish they'd go with that shade permanently
  14. Commanders just scored a rare Double Touchdown.................. Where's the holding on the Bears.
  15. Don't f with the Throwbacks, man. Good karma.
  16. Almost 8 sacks. Bears? WTF are you doing? You're gonna get your guy killed. Get him out of there. Morons
  17. Holding again.................Even I saw that and I'm blind as a bat.
  18. Holding Bears..................Decline it............2nd sack for rookie JP today.
  19. Awesome, but this game ain't over. And going back to Wentz? I didn't understand that one. Heinecke has one bad game and that's it, he's out? They played hard for him.
  20. Odd time to go for it on 4th down there. Why not bury them. I saw that Vikings-Colts game last week. Let's be careful here
  21. LOL........The Wright Bros GEICO commercial. BRAVO !
