  1. That dropped pass by Diggs was great defense by the Lions.
  2. I think you can start considering playoffs, but there is one thing in the way............their backup goalie is not very good.
  3. Yuck. They'll lose 38-13 now. What do they have against the throwbacks? People love those. These look like pajamas.
  4. I think Josh Allen looks more like himself today and that's bad news for the Lions. Bills 31, Lions 20
  5. Are we wearing the Throwbacks today? I hope so.
  6. This is the German National Team at the World Cup in Qatar. Not only have the European teams been told not to wear an armbands that supports gay rights, they've pretty much been told by FIFA to shut up about it and this is their response. 70 years ago Germany was just about the least tolerant country in the Western world. Maybe one day the United States can find the way too, since we're the least tolerant now. I hope it doesn't take over 50 years. Italy & Ireland aren't in it, so I'll be rooting for these guys - because of this.
  7. It was The Station Nightclub fire that made me start paying attention to stuff like that. From the first flames to the entire place being engulfed in flames took 4 1/2 minutes.
  8. Honestly, I think a lot of libraries are closing everywhere, and probably because just about everything is available or going to be available online, but this is shit Putin would like. I don't understand these followers of a man who said love everyone are so fucking hateful.
  9. I don't know why this is such a big deal when we have serious problems out there like how people Like Raphael Warnock got All In The Family cancelled.
  10. I don't know how long you've been here, but one of our most active members, Brian Bluhm, was a victim in the Virginia Tech shooting in 2007. For a lot of the veterans of this board, this hits hard. The shooter in that case was obsessed with beating Eric & Dylan's number of deaths.
  11. Guns are part of it, we do nothing. Mental Illness is part of it, we take funds away from it. Corporate Drugs are a problem too. 1991, Wayne LaPierre took over at the NRA, turned it to a marketing org. The same year the major drug companies had a conference on how to mass market psychoactive drugs and that's when ADD and ADHD brought into the mainstream, and the umbrella got big to use these definition as a catch-all to sell drugs.........so we started drugging kids, for being unruly, like, you know, kids. That's when these shootings started happening more often. These drugs affect the liver and that changes the brain chemistry. The Guns and The Drugs are linked here. There's always been bullying, but it didn't result in this. Then the internet comes along and turns these fucking assholes into celebrities.
  12. When you go somewhere are you paying attention on where to run in case you hear those pops? I do. Every store, concert, movie...........I'm hyper attentive to it now. That's sad, isn't it?
  13. Oh, so Brazilian Trump refuses to accept the vote? Shit, what a surprise that is .
  14. Sadly, the way they've probably been treated since they came out, they were battle-tested, in a way.
  15. Pet Peeve: People who collect Disability, even though they are perfectly capable of working, and then turn around and bitch about Socialism. I have a relative like that and I don't have to deal with them this Thanksgiving because they aren't making the trip from Florida. What a shame.
  16. COACHING HOT SEAT TOP 5 1. KLIFF KINGSBURY, ARIZONA - Their bye week is after their next game against the Chargers 2. KLIFF KINGSBURY, ARIZONA - Only a 6 day break between games may save him the firing this week 3. KLIFF KINGSBURY, ARIZONA - Had no business getting this gig based on his losing college record 4. KLIFF KINGSBURY, ARIZONA - Kyler Murray is the most overpaid player in the league (sorry D.J. Chark) 5. NATHANIEL HACKETT, DENVER - You don't think Russ is taking the blame, do you? The Chargers' Staley is in trouble too. That is where Sean Payton may land.
  17. How much of a risk is it? 0.6 WAR ? I think just about anybody with a sub .320 OBP is probably going to get moved out of here over the next 2-3 years and that includes Tork & Greene if they don't develop. Harris isn't going to hang onto people because he likes them. The 2024 roster might have 5 or 6 guys from the 2022 team. Fine with me. Better to take risks than to stick with what you know doesn't work.
  18. Is he still a decent OBP guy? I have my doubts
  19. I had a very strange dream that the Lions won 3 games in a row, including back-to-back road games. I need to cool it on the edibles before bed.
  20. Looks like Charles Nelson Riley if you stuck a cattle prod up his arse.
  21. If they go 7-10 this year, it's a successful year, but next year it has to be playoffs, especially if the NFC is still weak.
  22. We need to move that Minnesota game to 8pm. We'll just have a little power outage like the Orioles did when Cal Ripken Jr. was late for a game during the streak. You take Cousins out of the 1pm slot, and it's a Lions win !
  23. Scott Harris isn't interested in keeping any Sub .320 OBP guys around. If he can get rid of them, he will. Remember, that was his statement in his press conference - understanding the strike zone. The Castros and Candy are not going to be the Tiger Way.
  24. The Maricopa County Supervisor, named Bill Gates, is now in hiding with police protection because of all the threats he's receiving. He can't go home. By the way, he's a Republican. But he is a Republican with integrity. I know that feels like a rarity these days. Can we just give them all the south and they can have the Confederacy they still crave. We'll just sit back and watch them eat each other. Also, if we do this - 2 major things. They hate the Federal Government, so we'll take all the military bases out and they hate Socialism, so we'll turn that faucet off too. Let's see how well they do then.
