I have a funny story about the Ricky Foggy game. I was living in a dorm at Central Michigan University. There was this kid, who had a room at the end of the hall...........name was Scotty (can't remember the last name), but you could hear him screaming from all the down the hall - in his room with his door closed. Anyway, Michigan loses and Scotty takes his routine into the hall...........at the very end of the hall....next to his room was the study room, I had a door with a window and that wire mesh between the two window panes............Scotty punched it...........broke it...........there was blood everywhere and even injured, as others wrapped his mangled hand in a towel, he was still screaming and cussing about the game. That is what I will remember about that game.

But I think Harris and his hand-pick evaluators need a chance to see a bunch of prospects up close, the way THEY evaluate talent and that will probably mean a year of wait-and-see. We don't have a lot to trade to get someone and the free agent class this year is pretty weak. The best players available are no-shot for the Tigers, and the the drop off is huge. I think Benintendi would be a great fit but I don't see them landing him. They just have to get some higher OBP guys. Justin Turner is that kind of guy, even at 38.

Something tells me Wil Myers will be here next year Michael Brantley would be alright for a year, High OBP guy.

Scott Harris' rebuild is the team operations right now. The players are secondary at this point. It's about loading this team's scouting department and player personnel staff with people who can recognize talent at all levels. It won't be a very exciting roster in 2023. Maybe they take on Justin Turner for a year or something like that to fill a gap at third. I think Harris really has to wait until he sees just how healed all the injured pitchers will be in 2024. I don't know who plays third, but are we going to miss anyone he's cut loose? I doubt it. I did like Harold Castro because he was a competent hitter, but this team has a who bunch of guys like that. Too many, in fact. I don't see Clemens, Kreidler or Lipcius as ready to contribute much. Wenceel Perez is the interesting one - he took a major leap this year, but in his limited time at 3b he has not looked good.. Javy's played 600 innings at third base, his numbers are not great, but it's more acceptable to have a 3b go .951 than a shortstop go .954. Yep, they'll sign some free agents........probably older ones on 1 year prove it deals. It might look very Al Avilia-esque this first year.

If you want to see how good Hutch is, you need to put another top level DE out there to free him up more. I see Paschal as a rotational guy, and he's been decent so far. They have to find a Snacks Harrison in the middle. Next draft with those top 5 picks.........CB, S, LB, LB, DE/DT. Good running backs can be found later in the draft. RB is a rotation-type position now, anyway. QB? Who says they have to replace Goff. He's certainly up and down, but generally he's not the issue. Why do people feel they need to draft a QB? There will likely be some decent ones available. Just say no on Carson "Poison" Wentz.

Sounds like working for Mush is like working for Dave Brandon (from what I have heard from those I know). If you got caught laughing at Schembechler Hall, it was time to start looking for a new job because you were on the shit list. Nah, no way that someone can LIKE their job and enjoy being there and still work hard............NO FRIGGIN' WAY. This is enjoyable to watch him burn this thing to the ground. Seems like it has to be a plan of some kind. Twitter has always been a cesspool. Watching Twitter and Ticketmaster burn in the same week feels good. I've worked for people who try to rule by fear, and I was young and desperate to work in an industry with a finite amount of jobs and radio stations. I regret not walking away from a couple of those places. I finally did in 2004. Life's too short to work for a fucking prick. They make you feel small and like you need them. You don't. Deal with that kind of misery for half of your waking day (and probably more for Elon Mush - because he probably wants you to quake at his every call, even on your time). Glad I never bought a Tesla.
