I don't know what to really think of the dimensions, but I don't understand why they keep messing with the ball. Didn't they basically use the same ball from the 70s until the mid 2010's ? Why not just go back to that? Don't need tightly wound balls or deadened balls. It's nuts. Do this bullshit in the minors, do it in Spring Training, you don't do it season-to-season or even in MID season like it seemed to happen last year. To me is is exhibit #1 for the argument that Rob Manfred is not fit for his job.- 3,276 replies

Those changes I suggest would be fairly easy, just some basic construction.......you could add a few rows of seating. There shouldn't be a Right-Centerfield corner.- 3,276 replies

2022 DETROIT TIGERS REGULAR SEASON THREAD
Motor City Sonics replied to chasfh's topic in Detroit Tigers
Well, I have been thinking about it, and the idea of replacing it is absolutely ridiculous. It's fine where it is. But I do have a feeling that they are going to study the idea of moving in the fences. I would not be shocked if they do that in the next 2 years, especially if MLB keeps putting the balls in humidors and deadening the balls (deadening the balls sounds dirty). They have to analyze every fly ball and determine what the sweet spot would be to make it play more like an even park. But they would have to have assurances that MLB will STOP FUCKING WITH THE BALL! It's those power alleys, they are ridiculous and it would not surprise me to see them come in 10-15 feet. The lines would stay the same, but where that right field corner kind of juts out, I can see CF getting moved in 10 feet and more of a straight line going to Center, and I can also imagine the whole left field wall changing angles about 5 degrees. But replacing the current stadium? Not for at least 25 years. Perfect location. Everything is there now.- 3,276 replies

Yes, and I stand by that. The way someone said "back bay-bee" it reminded me of that Frank Costanza moment. They should DFA (or trade him). He's not part of the future and this season is lost. Can Cameron turn things around and consistently hit? Has Reyes actually become a good hitter? Is Derek Hill more than just a defensive sub? Can Meadows find his power again? Need to answer these questions with a lot of playing time. I'm glad Robbie has a couple dingers finally, just for his mental health, but he still is more of a roadblock right now. I want to see Reyes every day. I think he's actually good.

Plus it doesn't matter. That 60 percent is not represented in Senate where Wyoming has as many Senators as a population at least 60 times larger.
-
Sending Tucker there was insanely stupid.
-
It's just that if it takes that long to confirm it, it's too close to reasonably overturn it. I'll take the run, but the Rangers have a legit gripe. Kody about to go yard for the first time.
-
Should be a rule in all sports............if it takes a certain amount of time to look at it, then you can't overturn it.

tHEY'RE GONNA CALL TORK OUT
-
Kind of why, on a non-contending team, you gotta let him take his lumps if you can. This is the year for leaning for him and Greene. Plenty of very good ballplayers had bad rookie years. They can't all be Juan Soto (who was put into a very good lineup).

There's one of those Javy slides..............

We'll take it

This is such a huge moment for Tork. Especially with Jesus pitching.
-
They've all turned into that now. Because now they're having to answer questions...........they are facing stats

Did AJ get tossed? I missed it
-
We only have 3 bench guys, Miggy, be quiet and don't get run

Seeing Cecil now makes me feel very old.

Riley with the unintentional sac bunt.
