  1. I probably saw him 10 times. Always a very entertaining show. He's one of those guys that seemed to reach a lot of people through music, a wide cross section of music fans who usually wouldn't line up together. It's not that his death hit me hard, it's just that it came out of nowhere. I mean, he was a rock star, of course he dabbled in drugs, but this was so surprising.
  2. And just as I posted it, he quoted John Prine..................LOL.............Love this guy.
  3. I watch a lot of court on You Tube. Michigan seems to be the most available state for court cases on video. I've become a fan of a Western Michigan judge named Jeffrey Middleton.............he quotes rock lyrics and has a pony tail.........LOL. He seems like such a decent guy and he tries to make it easier on defendants. He knows everyone too. But what grabs me in this court videos is how stupid some people are, especially when they are attending court by Zoom. Some people run their mouths at judges and get in more trouble. One thing that really annoys me is how many people get busted for not having a valid driver's license or having any insurance. Some get busted several times for this. They always have a list of excuses why and they are all b.s. Pay your registration like the rest of us have to do, idiots. What do you think pays for the roads? Anyone else watch court on You Tube - or highlights (lowlights) of court? It's fascinating. The most interesting are sovereign citizens and people that want to defend themselves and have no idea what they are doing, but think they do because they read shit online. A person who represents themselves in court has a fool for a client.
  4. Did anyone enjoy the irony of Slippin' Jimmy's plan almost being done in by a legitimate slip and fall?
  5. I looked up the Nebraska schedules and they lost a close one to Texas and then played Oklahoma State. Bo Pellini was the Head Coach and it was their last year in the Big 12. I thought Nebraska joined the Big Ten a lot earlier than that.
  6. Intro............What exactly is he up to? Love the change in the Title Card, by the way. That was funny.
  7. Last weekend and then today, when I was at two different stores "Free Fallin'" by Tom Petty played on the store intercom. A lot of people quietly sing along to that song...........so I was walking out the door I let out a very loud I'M FREEEEE.........FREE FALLIN'. Just one of those universal songs
  8. I always sing out loud, as loudly as I can get away with "Then I let the Alpine play........"
  9. I think they will try to get him back here because if he goes to AAA and struggles, well, there isn't a paper towel absorbent enough to wipe that amount of egg off of their face.
  10. Al has been here for 20 years. He was the guy organizing the scouting and development for Dave Dombrowski. He's had more than 7 years. He's a disaster. The starting lineup since Al's been with the Tigers. This is the lineup of the best players at each position since Al has been with the Tigers. 1B - Jeff Larish (actually better than Tork has been so far) 2B - Devon Travis. But we traded him for Anthony Gose as in Anthony Gose back to the dugout after striking out SS - Danny Worth. More interesting as a pitcher 3B - Scott Sizemore. Yep, the guy we jettisoned Polanco for. RF - Nick Castellanos. Couldn't catch a cold CF - Cameron Maybin. Journeyman player (Greene hasn't had enough time to evaluate yet) LF - Matt Joyce. A platoon player at best DH - James McCann. Because I couldn't find anyone else C - Alex Avila. Very good player. His own son. Not a difficult find. We've had few international players we signed but many of them busts or traded away That's not an All-Star lineup there. Yes they've been decent on pitching, but hitting is part of the game too. So is catching the ball. Something Castellanos, Sizemore and Joyce weren't very good at. That's all he has. That's it. Horrible trades. Bad FA signings. It's awful And it's on him.
  11. I really don't want to hate my own team. The team that got me into sports, but I can't love this. It's like an intervention. I love you, but I am not supporting your behavior anymore.
  12. Oh, and in the Millen case, he went against his staff's suggestions all the time and Martin Mayhew made sure the higher ups knew that he wasn't on board a lot of Millen's moves. But I don't care, Mayhew should have been broomed out with him. I don't want anyone that has anything to do with Al Avila on this team anymore. From front office all the way down to Rookie Ball. I don't care if there is a record of them saying Al was wrong on something, we must rid ourselves and our city and our beloved team of the stench. Congratulations on finding J.D. Martinez, it was a brilliant move, but that's all you've really got. What is being done to the Detroit Tigers, in my eyes, is like someone drawing a sharpie mustache on the Mona Lisa. I know that's a bit overdramatic, but that's what the Tigers mean to me and Chris is shitting all over it, still making a profit. He'll probably angle for a new stadium within 10 years too.
  13. I don't want to hear the injury excuse, it's the offense that has been offensive. The pitching has hung in there with the injuries, but you get seven years to build and this is what you get. Bad scouting. Bad drafting. Bad developing. Bad Trades. Bad Free Agents. They do almost everything wrong. It is very MIllenesque. Don't worry about Al. He can retire a millionaire, or Dave Dombrowski can hire him as an assistant in Philly. I don't care. Just go.
  14. Do you think it could be a situation where Baddoo started out last year not knowing anything and just playing baseball, you know, going outside, playing the game, having fun and since then they've filled his head with a bunch of launch angle/exit velo/sabregarbage that has him up there thinking, not just using his natural ability? That's what I think. I think they got in his head and messed him up. I think they have done that to almost the whole team. So we just have a bunch of guys all having the worst season at the same time? I don't think so. I used to worry about AJ leaving, and now it's Good Riddance ! Who out there is better? I don't know, but I do know that this ain't working and it's completely systemic. EVERYONE.............MUST.................GO......................................EVERYONE !
  15. That's exactly how I feel, Frank Zappa, there is more to it than just luck. There has to be. And the Coolbaugh thing...........When Greene came up he was just playing baseball like he has his whole life. The Tigers got in his head and they've got him thinking about things instead of just playing. They are overloading these guys with information. Either you can do it, or you can't and when you can't, then you try to figure out how you can. They're digging into these guys skulls way too much. I think they did it with Candelario and Schoop and Tork. Heck, Victor Reyes came back and was hitting, then Coolbeans got to him and got in his head and he can't hit now. Don't let him near Kerry Carpenter.
  16. Why do you assume that. Chris is fine. He's making a profit. Why mess with it. If you think it's about winning or losing with that guy, you're not paying attention. He does not care a bit. As long as he can make money. Tiger Fans: Stop going to the games. Make that stadium look like Oakland. They're not going to move the team away.
  17. From 3 years ago Diego the goalie. https://www.facebook.com/markcopeland107/videos/10157018475011063/
  18. We have a guy named Chi Chi now.
  19. Yes, we'll have a game today - it's on again/off again rain and this late in the season it gets much harder to reschedule games. Might have a delay or two, but they'll play today. Who is our starting 5 right now?
