Dude, it takes every ounce of energy he has just to do normal things. The Parkinson's and the meds for Parkinson's are very draining for some people. I give him credit for gutting it out.

I was downtown for the March For Our Lives event, some bicycle thing going on as well as a Pride parade for those "cursed" people. Beautiful Day downtown. Nice to see so many people down there. Quite a few Blue Jays fans taking it in too...........they don't need March For Our Lives events over there..........just a mile away.

TwosDay at Tony's special at Packo's, why would he miss that? (Oh wait, they're in Massachusetts...well, wouldn't want to miss on chowder and lobster rolls.

2022 DETROIT TIGERS REGULAR SEASON THREAD
Motor City Sonics replied to chasfh's topic in Detroit Tigers
But the Giants are contending and are built to win right now and probably can't afford to carry someone who isn't up to MLB standards yet. Tigers are not and can let him marinate awhile. If they thought he was mentally beat they'd send him down, but they seem to think the opposite, that he's not pressing too much and he knows he has a lot to learn still.- 3,276 replies

Akil Baddoo, Eric Haase and Robbie Grossman had unicorn seasons last year. Nobody is doing that this year, not on the offensive side.- 3,276 replies

2022 DETROIT TIGERS REGULAR SEASON THREAD
Motor City Sonics replied to chasfh's topic in Detroit Tigers
Plus, look at every level so far - very rough start, but once he figured it out he was really good. Hasn't reached that point at this level yet and of course it's going to take longer. He just shouldn't be in a position where he has to even consider carrying the team, but there just isn't anyone else helping. Expect Riley to struggle too, but they have to get through this to get better............might as well do it in a lost season.- 3,276 replies

2022 DETROIT TIGERS REGULAR SEASON THREAD
Motor City Sonics replied to chasfh's topic in Detroit Tigers
He's going to be a good player. A lot of guys that wound up being stars had rough first years. He doesn't look lost to me, he looks like a rookie figuring it out. I bet he looks a lot better by August and September. It would help if he had a decent lineup around him.- 3,276 replies

2022 DETROIT TIGERS REGULAR SEASON THREAD
Motor City Sonics replied to chasfh's topic in Detroit Tigers
The reason it's struggling is they can't develop position players and haven't really been able to for about 35 years now. Position players from our own system that we drafted on our current roster are........Derek Hill, Harold Castro, Spencer Torkelson and Kody Clemens, that's it. Only Tork is an everyday player and sorry if I am unimpressed that they drafted a guy #1 that 25 other teams would have picked there. Most teams are built on guys drafted after the 1st round. Where's ours? Even guys from our system that are with other teams are few and far between. Very little to show for 19 years at the highest end of the front office and 7 as the GM. Sick of it. Clean sweep is needed - which of course means another 5 years of rebuilding, but I really don't see us going anywhere with this lineup. I hope Greene and Tork do well, but beyond that..........who's next? Colt Keith? Roberto Campos? Years away, and plenty of time for this organization to screw them up. Blow it up.- 3,276 replies

Nobody chooses to be white or black or any other shade of brown. skin tones are a result of ancestral sun exposure. that's it. Nobody chooses to be right handed or left handed Nobody chooses to be tall or short Nobody chooses to be blonde or brunette or a redhead Nobody chooses their sexuality Who would choose to be in a group of people who are shamed, ridiculed, denied, threatened, shunned and bullied? Why, because it's fun? I don't think it is. Some of them lose their families over it. Funny, how some people want to live by some Bible standard sometimes but not other times. Ever eat a cheeseburger? Ever work on a Sunday? Ever eat pork or fat? Ever wear two kind of thread at the same time? Ever pay to go to a concert or movie or attend a political speech? (that's a false idol) Ever read your horoscope? Ever mingle with someone who believes in another religion? Ever lie? Ever gamble? Ever not listen to a priest? Ever disobey your parents? Ever curse? Ever get drunk? Ever plant more than one kind of plant in the same yard? Ever shave your beard? Ever cut your sideburns? Ever touch a football? Ever get a tattoo? Many of these "crimes" are punishable by burning or stoning someone to death. If you answered yes to any of those how would you like it........with gasoline or kerosene or pure alcohol........what kind of rocks should we pummel you with? Don't worry, the heathens, gays, and left-handers will save a spot at the table in Hell for you. Oh, and there is a old testament and a new testament. Wait, if the Bible is the word of God how come there is a 2.0 ? I don't understand how people that call themselves "Christians", followers of Jesus Christ, who, to the best of my knowledge, preached to love and accept everyone, even those who want to hurt you. But that gets forgotten doesn't it? Other religions do this following of some religious aspects that they pummel everyone who disagrees with them with, but not when it's inconvenient for them. There is a wire around New York City. It's called an eruv and it's a symbolic enclosure that justifies Jewish people to work on Fridays. Well, isn't that just cheating? Religion and especially Christianity has gone off the rails, at least the public face of it. It happened when the likes of Jerry Falwell and Jim Bakker and Jimmy Swaggert got cable channels and started spreading their fear-based bullshit. Fear sells, Fear makes money. I know that is not how all Christians act, but the ones that are getting the attention do. Someone needs to flip that script, but there is no money in the dignity business, is there?

2022 DETROIT TIGERS REGULAR SEASON THREAD
Motor City Sonics replied to chasfh's topic in Detroit Tigers
It doesn't matter. This team ain't no good. They ain't gonna be good anytime soon. 2024? Yeah right. We're in the hell of 1988-2005 again. And we're only 7 years in. They can't scout and they can't develop and now they can't seem to keep them healthy. Every person that has anything to do with scouting, drafting, managing, signing or training players needs to be fired. A total clean sweep. Enough already. Fire the vendors and ushers too.- 3,276 replies

Oh, and Lynn Henning, before you go calling out people about medical issues diagnosed by fans, maybe you should make sure they are actually wrong, because we ALL knew this was coming and if you didn't maybe you should retire.
