  1. Well, I'm sure Tuck'll have his back turned going to to the Double Bubble bucket for a couple pieces of gum and a line drive will hit him in the back of the head the way this season's going.
  2. Seriously, I've said this like 5 times already but I have been paying attention to baseball since about 1975/76 and I've never seen anything like this.
  3. This team is fucking cursed, man. They need an exorcist.
  4. He could have torn it up. Sometimes when you hyper extend it like that it doesn't really hurt right away. With Grossman out with Shingles or Leprosy or whatever plague has infected him and Miggy with a sore back, we have only Tucker Barnhart on the bench now?
  5. Any word on Grossman? Jeez, even our base coaches are doomed.
  6. You just need to find a spot for him in the lineup every day until he cools off.
  7. A AA pitcher with this lineup. Feels like a 10-2 loss today.
  8. Well, genius, the line of rain has to start somewhere..................
  9. A lifelong gun owner and Marine from Oregon named Ben Beers had turned in his AR-15 and handgun to the local police to have them destroyed. This is an act of courage. He's going against something he believed in his whole life because he couldn't justify it anymore. This is very brave because by going public he's probably going to be attacked now and I would imagine some of those attacks will include death threats. Talk about patriotism, doing something like this for your country because you know your country can be better. I'll raise a glass or two to Mr. Beers tonight. (The article calls him an ex-Marine.....is there such a thing?). https://www.huffpost.com/entry/oregon-man-tiktok-destroys-guns_n_6291cf7be4b0cda85dbf009f
  10. You damned jinx, you.
  11. Hell of a first 2 innings for Alex Faedo.
  12. It rained a little bit in Dearborn but not even enough puddle around my veggie plants.. I am thinking the Tigers probably pushed this to try to stretch that 3 man rotation another turn or two. Don't know why Peralta has not been getting stretched out, unless they are doing it behind the scenes somehow. I used to work with a guy, we'll call him Adam, because his name is actually Adam. One day we went to lunch together and it was raining in Ann Arbor. We were sitting in the car watching people walking/running through the rain and making horror movie sound effects...............like they were running for their lives (and it wasn't raining that hard). We were cracking up..................you had to be there to get it Mythbusters proved it - that when you run through the rain, you get wetter .
  13. I mean, there is a lot of parking lots down there (where District Detroit buildings were supposed to be built by now)
  14. Did you actually have to pay for parking?
  15. but it really didn't rain all day. rained yesterday, but not that hard.
  16. Does anyone get in trouble if they call a rain out and it never rains? Because it sure didn't look like, even if it did rain, that it was going to be a several-hour situation.
  17. It's over. He might as well retire........
  18. Has it rained at all in Detroit?
  19. I just looked up the Lakeland game to see how Riley is doing. When I saw Tarpons, that's not what I thought I saw at first............strange name.
  20. Do you think Crash Davis turned the sprinklers on overnight last night?
  21. I thought they were going to have a double header tomorrow, but the make up is a split doubleheader on July 4th. So yes, this does help the Tigers, every day of rest helps that thin starting staff. Any word on Pineda? I am guessing he'll heal up fairly quickly. I am guessing Eduardo will be back by June 10th maybe. I don't think trying to give Elvin or Wentz another start would be constructive. We basically have a 4-man rotation now? Or is it 3-man at this point? Yikes.
