  1. Overcoming Ben Johnson and Aaron Glenn too !
  2. Oh wait, you mean the season's not over ?
  3. They should have fired Campbell & Staff after the Tampa game. This is CLEARLY not working. 6-11 team.
  4. Let's practice ANNC: And the pass is incomplete, the Lions will be forced to punt TP FAN: Ben Johnson is a disgrace. Worst OC in the game. ANNC: First down Vikings TP FAN: How does Aaron Glenn have a job? He just lets teams get first downs. Has nothing to do with the other team being good, How can they continue to pay this guy if he lets the other teams get first downs?
  5. COACH HOT SEAT RANKINGS 1. KEVIN STEFANSKI, Cleveland. I'll say what I've always said, it isn't really Steafnski's fault. It's the front office's fault for putting so much on such a flawed human in Deshaun Watson, but they're stuck with him. At this point the season is lost and a mid-season firing makes no sense, but this is the Browns. If the Bengals clobber them this week it could happen. Bye week isn't until November 10th, but they'd be 1-6 and that wouldn't matter. We could see the first former Lions Head Coach (Jim Schwartz) become a Head Coach again since the 60s? 2. DOUG PEDERSON, Jacksonville. Two years ago, the Jaguars were right there with the Lions as teams about to take over their division and be the class of the conference. While the Lions are in a dogfight with 2 really good teams (I'll believe the Bears when they start playing tougher teams), Jacksonville has now watched the Texans and Colts pass them by. They're bottom-feeding with the Titans, but the problem is the Titans were expected to have a bad year. They are playing in front of the whole country again and if the 1-5 Patriots embarrass them, Doug and his family can stay in London and make a nice vacation out of it. Could this be a spot for Vrabel? 3. ANTONIO PIERCE, Las Vegas. KC in the division. The Chargers have a real Head Coach and now the Broncos are waking up from their coma. Vegas is a perpetual mess. I'll keep going back to the fact that they never should have fired Rich Bisaccia. Why can't they find a QB? They had a good one in Carr and Josh McArsehole pushed him in front of the bus. The Raiders have a reactionary history. Now Brady is part of the ownership? Cue the circus music. Could Belichick actually work for Brady? LOL 4. NICK SIRIANI, Phiadelphia. Should he be on the Hot Seat? Well, he's in Philly, so he is. Chirping at fans at a home game is not a good sign. 5. JONATHAN GANNON, Arizona. A lot of people felt Kyler Murray was overrated. Sure, a ton of natural athletic talent, but is he a leader? Gannon's job was to bring that out of him and it doesn't seem to be working. The 49ers look shaky, the Seahawks are a .500 team, the Rams run is done. This was a perfect opportunity for the Cardinals to step up and well, they are 2-4. They need to start winning right now because I think the 49ers are about to get it together. 6. MIKE McCARTHY, Dallas. He'd be #1 if I thought Jerry would make a mid-season move. He could if the Cowboys have another game like last week (that was fun). But that team is SOFT. After that first Branch interception, they quit. But so much of this is on Prescott. He puts up gaudy numbers, but he's not a winner. On a soft team he's the soft, gooey center. Those numbers demand a huge contract, but the team would probably be much better off with a tough game manager. Stafford would make this team a whole lot better - instantly. The Bill Belichick rumors will be flying, but Jerry would never relinquish control. Jerry is going to offer Ben Johnson an awful lot of money. 7. **SEAN McVAY, LA Rams. (** - Not getting fired, but retiring). The Rams mortgaged their future trading so many draft picks and they got the ring and now is the price they pay. There have been rumors of him stepping away for a couple of years now. This would most likely be the time. I don't think he's done coaching forever. He's still young, he'll be on TV somewhere and after his kids grow up, he'll coach again. If the Lions mortgaged their future and got a ring out of it, I'd be fine with that. I could absolutely see Stafford in Miam this season and the Rams getting a couple of picks back. Tua's done. 8. AARON RODGERS, NY Jets. Okay, they got him another weapon (he had enough already). I don't see Team President Aaron Rodgers and Jets GM Aaron Rodgers, firing Aaron Rodgers, but who knows. Bye week is late November. Maybe he'll go drink a bunch of ayahuasca tea and crap all this negativity away in the woods. It'll be too late to save the season. I would love to see the Steelers defense dismantle him. Lions are my #1 team this week, Steelers are the runner up. I was going to say the Steelers are #2, but Aarons the REAL #2, isn't he.
  6. But Moore was the OC and had plenty of time to find someone. He couldn't see that the 3-headed monster wasn't good enough. That doesn't make him look too good.
  7. .......and some sort of punishment is coming, and coming soon, which won't do much for recruiting. Harbaugh escaped.
  8. So, the rest of the way Michigan State - I don't like Blue's chances - even at home, but this is their season already Oregon - They will be ranked #1 tomorrow after the Texas loss Indiana - They look pretty legit right now Northwestern - not a very good team, might be a win Ohio State - They're looking for revenge. I have L, L, L, W, L 5-7 for the season. What just shocks me is that a one of the absolute elite programs, coming off of a Natty, does not have a viable QB. How did they not recognize this? Most of the Big 10 has Portal QBs this year, but Michigan has Warren-Orji-Tuttle and their one QB glimmer of hope, Jadyn Davis is likely to transfer. They almost have to give this kid a shot, don't they? I expected a down year. Meaning 8-4 How the hell did this happen?
  9. This Illinois helmets are very cool. They look like actual leather helmets
  10. Jack Tuttle is amazing. How did they not know how good he is?
  11. Gotta scream they're a racist, eh?
  12. I don't mind Indiana being really good. I would like to see someone other than Michigan/Ohio State/Oregon. Some new blood.
  13. Hey Matt Rhule, I guess Indiana must be stealing your signals too ! LOL Indiana might be for reals
  14. Once I was driving home from work at the hospital, Summer day, had my scrubs on. Go to exit on Michigan Ave........There is a Stop Sign there. Car in front of my starts to go and then I start to go and they slammed on their breaks. I hit them, but not hard enough to make an actual dent. Older couple gets out (with a Coexist button on her jacket) and starts calling me every name in the book. F-bombs galore. Cop comes and as soon as the cop gets there she starts crying about how much her back hurts. That whole gasping/crying/can't finish a sentence thing. She needs an ambulance, it hurts to walk. "He came out of nowhere". Cop has us pull into an empty parking lot, tells me go park about 10 spaces away........deals with them and then comes up to me and tells me "you're getting scammed, we know who these two are - all of Metro Detroit does........I know you didn't do anything". Anyway, cop takes my info and tells me it's because I was wearing scrubs they probably thought I might be a doctor (driving a Honda Civic?). I never heard a thing about it after that day. Cop totally cleared me of everything. Heavy set woman with glasses, talk skinny guy with long hair, looks like Bill Spaceman Lee's hippy brother. They'd be mid 60s by now. Just in case they're still at it.
  15. I hope the arrested the driver and gave them prison time.
  16. When I am out driving I flip off every house with a Trump sign. It IS cathartic. I won't walk my dog down a certain strett because it seems to be Trump Central in Dearborn. Probably part of the Old Racist Dearborn. My street is very diverse (white, black, middle eastern, Mexican) and wouldn't ya know, we all seem to get along just fine. Amazing. Something that would have never happened before the 2000s around here. I am the only one on my block with a lawn sign and it's Kamala. Final straw was when he pissed on Detroit. I was voting for her but keeping it to myself, but to hell with that. 4 years ago I had a very nasty note in my mailbox over my Biden sign, and I am expecting that again at some point. There is a vet that lives on my street who is Republican but absolutely hates Trump. Can't believe anyone vet would support him. I was driving through the neighborhood near Michigan & Military today. Saw a lot of Harris signs. I like that neighborhood.
  17. He probably thinks this thread is about him.
  18. Ann Arbor Folk Festival - January 25. Friday headliners are Waxahatchee & Josh Ritter Saturday it's Toad The Wet Sprocket & Bruce Cockburn
  19. Under The Radar on Sunday October 20th - will feature Cunningham Bird as Pick Of The Week. Madison Cunningham and Andrew Bird have teamed up to cover the Buckingham Nicks album from 1973, which was not a successful album radio or sales-wise, but Mick Fleetwood liked it, played it for John and Christine McVie and ask if they should invite them into Fleetwood Mac. Sometimes all you need is one person to like it and it can change everything. Also going to play All Duos too. Still haven't music mined for tomorrow's show yet. Gonna cheat a little and feature bands that are basically spearheaded by a duo (Squeeze - with Difford aand Tilbrook) 7 til 9 - every Sunday annarbors107one.com or thisisqmusic.com or listen (Washtenaw, Western Wayne, Southern Oakland county on 107.1 - West Michigan at 94.5) We're one of only two stations playing this in rotation. Can't figure out why - it's great.
  20. Polls Schmolls. I remember two years ago the polls predicted a red wave. Hardly. Polls are all over the place but one thing they do not accurately convey is. The young vote.
Me enviaron horarios, imanes, pegatinas y parches. Desde entonces me gustaron los Mets por eso. ¡Así que VIVA METS!
  22. Good. A Generation finally doing something good for the planet. COVID was nature's way of getting rid of us for the planet to survive and thrive.
  23. He's like Chance The Gardner but if Chance was a greedy, shallow, racist, sexist, bloviating gasbag. Just says **** and half the country thinks it's somehow deep. The bar gets lower and lower and lower. Now get this, Honky, You go tell Raphael that I ain't taking no jive from no Western Union messenger. You tell that a-hole if he got somethin' to tell me to get his ass down here himself.
  24. Think of Poppy on Seinfeld.
  25. They could have easily tried a field goal to hang 50 on them. Campbell tried to stop at 40 but Branch almost got a pick 6 down to what, the 3? Kneeling on the ball on the 3 yard line is actually more insulting to the other team. They don't want you to pity them.
