  1. Bringing JJ in to start that drive after what he did the last time he touched the ball was the real head scratcher to me. Granted you can't plan for something that disastrous to happen but why even risk putting him in that position at that point? I will say again though that I think MSU deserves a ton of credit though for how they played in the 2nd half. Walker was an absolute beast, no matter what Michigan tried they couldn't stop him and I don't think there should be a ton of shame in that. He's playing like the best player in the country so sometimes you face a guy that you can't stop. Then the one WR made for them made 2 spectacular 1st down catches(some may say that the one hit the ground), if he didn't do that then the drive probably stalls. Sometimes teams can come back and it not be because the other team choked, sometimes you just play really well and I think that is what happened in this game.
  2. Lack of a signature win is good criticism but if UM handles that punt against State years ago they win that game. If the refs call the 4th down spot correctly against OSU years ago he wins that one too. If those things happened would that magically make him a better coach?
  3. I agree. Just by nature these guys are competitive as hell or else they wouldn't have gotten as far as they have so they are always going to want to be the best they can be. Look at Miggy for example, yeah he has sucked since he signed his contract but it isn't due to lack of effort. He has constantly played through injuries where he could've just sat out and collected a pay check. If you follow his social media during the offseason you will constantly see him "putting in work" as well. These guys don't want to embarrass themselves out there.
  4. I'm not a Harbaugh faithful at all, I would definitely not oppose to him getting fired but lets not pretend like Michigan was this elite football program before he got here. They had lost 5+ games in 6 of the previous 7 seasons and Lost 3+ in 17 of the previous 20 seasons. We've been like this for decades aside from a rare couple seasons.
  5. Ironically enough I think the last SP to get pulled with a no hitter in the playoffs was Anibal back in 2013 ALCS.
  6. I hate to be "that guy" but that overturned TD didn't do Michigan any favors either. The whole complexion of the game changes when you're up 3 possessions vs. 2 in the second half like what would've been the case if that call stood. Not excusing the collapse but when you're down 3 possessions teams often abandon the run game and force things, MSU didn't have to do that.
  7. Also sometimes you just have to tip your cap to the competition. They had a Heisman favorite who played like a superstar and we didn't.
  8. The big mistake was bringing McCarthy in to start that drive after he fumbled the last time he had the ball. We just got a big stop, had a 3 point lead and really just needed a good steady drive. Instead McCarthy fumbled the handoff and that was the beginning of the end. Also as usual we had to settle for too many FGs. Plus side is we didn't run the ball for crap yet still should've won the game, I think most would've figured we'd get blown out if we couldn't run but Cade played well and Anthony really looked like he could be a legit #1 going forward.
  9. God I hate that 3rd down play in general. It's such a small percentage throw to hit a WR in the back of the end zone like that.
  10. Phew dodged a bullet there on that fumble.
  11. Walker may be at the top of the Heisman boards if MSU comes back to win this. The kid is definitely special.
  12. Hutchinson is a monster, definitely wouldn't mind seeing him in a Lions jersey next season.
  13. Also If I were Michigan I'd watch out for the onside kick at the start of the half, the momentum is clearly going Michigan's way and they have shown that they are having no problem moving the ball so Tucker may feel it's worth a chance to try to catch them off guard.
  14. I'll definitely take a 9 point lead but if feels like Michigan has dominated by even more than that. Got almost a 100 more total yards, +2 in turnovers and I believe haven't punted yet.
  15. Unless they saw another replay that wasn't shown on TV I don't see how they could've reversed that.
  16. Anthony showing that he is deserving of wearing the number 1 jersey!
  17. Walker is a beast, assuming he doesn't suffer an injury he's probably going to be one of the first RBs taken in the draft. His vision and ability to break tackles is really special.
  18. That was like the highest batted ball I have ever seen!
  19. Damn Corrum probably scores on that if he catches it.
  20. Ian Anderson did have a no hitter but that was a bit deceiving. His velo was down, he wasn't getting swings and misses and he was routinely getting to 3 ball counts. I think it was the smart play to remove him cause he looked like he was on the brink of falling apart.
  21. Perfect throw by Cade and Anthony looked like he was shot out of a cannon! TD Michigan!!
  22. Uh Oh Lee Corso just picked Michigan to win, I swear he's the ultimate jinx when it comes to picking teams especially Michigan. Every time he picks them they lose!
  23. I don't understand the hatred for Baez. Yeah his OBP sucks and he Ks alot but he still produces above average offense due to his power and he plays excellent defense. We have some decent obp guys with Candy,Miggy,Grossman, and presumably Tork but what we don't have enough of is guys that will give you 25 plus bombs a year like Baez. I much prefer Seager and Correa but I don't think Baez is a bad consolation prize assuming he comes at a much lower rate than those guys.
  24. We're still gonna suck but atleast this gives us somebody to watch.
