Dems just need to compete in every district. No one listened to me in 2022 when I said MI-10 was winnable and John James won by 0.5% against Marlinga who had no cash. Stevens and Levin decided to fight it out in the safe MI-11. We had a chance to end John James political career once and for all and blew it.

It's a foreshadowing to when more competitive districts are up for grabs. It's what we saw in the lead up to 2018. Dems were never going to win Florida HD-03 that Trump won by 55. They cut that margin to 34 which similar cuts across the state would mean a lot of districts flipping.

None of the seats were expected to flip. Generally these seats are vacated because they are safe seats. We saw this in the lead up to 2018 when there was a blue wave. This time the margins are even more in favor of Democrats.

It seems like the consultants are telling Democrats to grow beards.

Our mayor is a liberal woman so I have designs for being mayor yet. I met her when she was running for state rep and her social skills are much better than mine. I probably have worse social skills than Ron Desantis which means I could only run as a MAGA candidate.

I don't talk to my neighbors at all and that's how I like it. No need to stop and exchange meaningless pleasantries. I'm also not sure if any of them speak English or how well they speak it. The Ukrainians next door and across the street appear to be related. They are always going back and forth and are outside a lot speaking in what I presume to be Ukrainian. I assume they are Ukrainian because they had Ukraine flags out even before the war. The Middle Eastern neighbors don't appear to friendly. It's mostly women and they will stand in their door way and stare at you with a sour look on their face. I only occasionally see men around. I sometimes wonder if the men are stashing their extra wives there. They don't bother me so I don't care. Demographics have been changing quite a bit. Anything south of 696 is probably at least 50% black. NW section where I live is a lot of Asian, Middle Eastern and Eastern European immigrants. The NE section is still pretty white.
