This really feels like the 2006 Tigers. Didn't expect to be there but once they go there they faced an 83 win team and blew it with a comedy of errors from the pitcher. -
You can tell Goff was expecting him to go the other way. At that point the play is broken so maybe it's best for Goff to just tuck it down and run with it. Gibbs fumbled at least once against Minnesota.

Just because you go for it doesn't mean the 49ers are required to go right back down the field. The Lions gave up 27 points in that half.

I remember the Chargers game where Campbell went for it on 4th down instead of kicking the go ahead FG and was universally praised.

It seemed more a mix up on the handoff. I wonder if in that situation it would have just been better for Goff to eat it and take a sack?

If I were going to chose one to go for, I would have went for the first one to make it a 3 score game again.

Badgley also made that 54 yarder indoors. I'm not sure what his range is outdoors.

The defense gave up 27 points in the 2nd half. It seems given how poorly the defense was playing, going for it was the right call.

The Lions showed they were Super Bowl contenders. Not finishing is going to be disappointing but they showed they belong. They're young and have all their draft picks and cap space.

I didn't like the St Brown run on 3rd down. You have two really good backs. Hand it to Montgomery or Gibbs instead.

The 49ers are not a good come from behind team and the Lions, except for Seattle, have been good at playing with the lead.
