  1. One thing I can't get past is that the Ravens are one of the best runs teams in the NFL. They have been playoff contenders for two straight decades. They have won two Super Bowls during that time and yet they don't seem sold on Lamar Jackson. Are we to believe the Ravens are making a huge mistake or they know something we don't know? They know there is too much risk in giving him a ton of guaranteed money.
  2. I want to add that I don't think Goff is better but I don't think Goff is worse. Obviously Jackson allows you to do things you can't do with Goff but I also think Goff is a more reliable pocket passer than Jackson. I'm not sure if Jackson will be able to transition to a pocket passer. His legs are going to go. It's just a matter of time. I don't think the Lions would be worse with Jackson but I'm not sure they would be better. What doesn't get mentioned is that if the Lions negotiate with Jackson, it's over with Goff. You can't offer a contract to Jackson, have Baltimore match, and then just go back to Goff like nothing happened.
  3. Fun fact, the border at San Diego is the busiest in North America. Another fun fact, San Diego and El Paso are among the safest large cities in the US.
  4. Fortunately for Goff he got traded to the worst professional sports franchise in North America.
  5. That Jackson is a much better QB. He's a much better runner but Goff is a better pocket passer.
  6. And yet the numbers don't say that at all.
  7. I've kicked around the idea of adding Lamar Jackson and I keep cooling on the idea. Goff and two 1's is just more valuable than Lamar Jackson.
  8. Aaron Rodgers playing for a Johnson & Johnson heir. That ought to be fun.
  9. I'll rule out the Lions right here and now. No way you can mix Zach Wilson and Aidan Hutchinson's mom.
  10. A 40 year old diva who likely will play one year and showed decline last year is just not that valuable. He's also owed nearly $60 million.
  11. So some team is going to draft him in the top 10 when he really needs to spend another year in college.
  12. Seems like the Packers have had enough.
  13. Matthew Stafford was up to 61% completion in his senior season and he struggled at times early in his career in accuracy and even in his Super Bowl season he still lead the league in interceptions. Richardson is at 53% completion. That's almost Tim Boyle bad.
  14. Are we serious trying to put Elizabeth Warren and George Santos in the same category? We don't even know if George Santos is his real name.
  15. Cam Newton was overrated. He had the one good season. He's like Richardson, big, fast athletic and poor accuracy.
  16. And yet the Bears signed a 30 year lease after the condo was renovated for hundreds of millions.
  17. Lamar Jackson doesn't use an agent. I think Baltimore wants other teams to do the negotiating and low balling before they jump in and match.
  18. I highly doubt the Lions would go down this route but it seems more pluasible than drafting a backup QB 6th.
  19. For the record, I wouldn't be opposed to signing Jackson. The Lions would still keep the 6th pick and could trade Goff to recoup some of the draft capital, but you better be sure Balitmore isn't going to match or else you've burned your relationship with Goff.
  20. If the Lions go after Jackson, they better be sure Baltimore isn't going to match because it will be awkward when they go back to Goff.
  21. Did Rod Wood hire them or did Martha? I feel like Martha was bamboozled by Ernie Accorsi who spoonfed her his former Giants connections.
  22. Yeah I thought very few teams actually own their stadiums. Anything built recently with tax subsidies is going to be owned by some stadium authority.
