  1. I'm pretty certain Trump would still win the primary even if he's dead.
  2. Carter is a high risk high reward pick. I can get onboard with it especially since the Lions have the safety net of the 18th pick.
  3. If the Raiders want the 6th pick, they'll have to pay extra for losing to the Rams.
  4. That could still be good for the Lions. If Stroud is there at 6, they could trade down.
  5. Looking at the 2015 draft, there aren't many players immediately taken after Todd Gurley that I would have rather taken. Maybe Marcus Peters. Like Holmes said, I don't think the Rams have any regrets on taking Gurley and I think Gurley is an extreme example of a RB having a short career. On the flip side, Elliot was taken 4th and Jalen Ramsey and Deforest Buckner were taken after him, both of which I would rather have.
  6. I did like when Little Marco bitch slapped Ted Cruz during a debate. He is one of the lesser offensive ones in Florida when you consider the state offers Desantis, Gaetz, Trump, Luna, and Scott. The thing is, he's clearly a follower. He tried to start out as a serious candidate, then went the Trump route and to his credit brough us the small hands, but now he is back to being a Trump supporter. He just goes whichever the wind blows.
  7. It seems like the people giving him the most attention are right wing media. He was just on Tucker. That's the last show you want to go on if you're serious about winning. I'm also not sure what treatment Tulsi got. She got smacked down in the primary and finally embraced her MAGA roots.
  8. I have a wooden fence and my neighbor children have broken out some slats. I let it slide since their homeland is being ravaged by Russians and their family is in exile in Poland but I do wish they would stop busting my fence. I have actually blocked Fox News, OANN and Newsmax so I don't even accidentally turn them on.
  9. My neighbor kids are always kicking their soccer ball in my yard and I never thought of shooting one.
  10. I'm not sure how many people give a thought to him because of his name? A Kennedy hasn't been relevant in over 10 years. Only old Boomers know who his father was.
  11. Goff had more TDs and a higher QBR and QB rating than Herbert this past year.
  12. But they would have to sign him to a massive contract and over 20% of the cap will be taken by the QB.
  13. If the Lions drafted Tua, they would be in the same position they are in now. A QB who is on the verge of free agency that people aren't sure they want to commit to.
  14. Purdy got injured because a pass rusher got through the offensive line and hit his arm. The 49ers went through like 5 QBs.
  15. I think Brees is a good comp to Goff. Brees didn't have elite arm talent or was the most mobile. he was, however, one of if the most accurate passer of all time. People forget that Saints offense was very good at running the ball and wasn't exactly a downfield type offense. Strong running game and efficient intermediate passing is Goff's wheelhouse. I see a lot of that in the Lions offense last year.
  16. I don't buy you can't draft a RB because their careers are short. Todd Gurley had a short career, even by RB standards but I doubt the Rams regret using their 10th pick on him. If you can get an elite player for 5 years I think I take that. Roster turnover happens so much in the NFL. This team will likely look a lot different in 5 years.
  17. Ironically it's possible the Lions trade up to 3 given they would have had 7 and 12 to offer and Garoppolo would be looked more as a bridge probably than Goff.
  18. I have to wonder how much better off they would be if they traded for Stafford? Garoppolo plus the 12th pick and additional 1st probably gets it done instead of three first rounders for Lance. I never liked Lance. He's Anthony Richardson before Anthony Richardson. He wowed with his physical ability but he played at the equivelant of a DII school for one season. Everyone got enamoured with the physical talent.
  19. Another one of my favorite arguments is Goff doesn't do well without a good offensive line. It's easier to draft lineman than it is to draft QBs who can thrive without an offensive line. Going with the expectation that we want a QB without a good offensive line is Stafford 2.0 where we don't win a playoff game and see him go somewhere else and win a Super Bowl.
  20. If we build a roster like the 49ers we can afford to trade multiple 1sts in the future when the time comes.
  21. Given how red West Virginia is, gridlocking the liberals can have its benefits there. With Feinstein unable to vote, Democrats only have 50 votes so one of Sinema or Manchin defecting blows the whole thing up.
