  1. The accident happened in January. The combine was a month later. His weight gain happened in just two weeks between the combine and pro day. So wouldn't he have been depressed before the combine?
  2. Carter didn't seem too upset after it happened when speaking with police and seemed evasive and lied based on what we know now.
  3. It works for all teams. I can see the Lions trading 18 plus some mid to late round filler for Simmons, Tennessee trading 11, 18 and a future 1st for 3. Tennesse only trades one additional 1st round pick plus a player they are unlikely to sign. Arizona gets three really good picks.
  4. Trade 18 for Simmons and Tennessee had ammo to trade for 3.
  5. Charles Rogers wasn't done in by injuries. After getting injured he got suspended for drugs and then he showed up to camp so out of shape. He was so out of shape that no other team even wanted to give him a chance being only 3 years removed from being the 2nd overall pick. The warning signs were there but the Lions decided to draft him from the moment he left college instead of moving on to Andre Johnson.
  6. Titus Young was frequently suspended at Boise State and Charles Rogers tested positive multiple times for weed, showed up to the combine testing for a masking agent, and wouldn't you know it he ends up getting suspended in the NFL for drugs. Hard to see that one coming.
  7. And the Lions ignored the red flags with Charles Rogers at Michigan State and the combine.
  8. Micah Parsons didn't show up to his pro day too fat to finish the drills.
  9. Lions appear to be overhauling their strength and conditioning program, an area where the players rated them poorly.
  10. People want to keep making it about the racing thing when the real character concerns are showing up to the pro day fat and out of shape and not one of the top athletes in the draft.
  11. This really confirms what I suspected. Williams overplayed his hand and the Lions moved on.
  12. Even from your link: "Quinn — who was part of the New England Patriots' front office when the team took Jimmy Garoppolo in the second round of the 2014 draft (with a 36-year-old Tom Brady on their roster) — said Tuesday he has not ruled out taking a quarterback in the first round."
  13. Right, he said he wasn't trading Stafford. The fact is, he couldn't for three reasons: 1. Ownership gave him a mandate to make the playoffs 2. It would have been an over $30 million cap hit if they did trade Stafford. 3. He was coming off a back injury in which he missed 8 games. It would be the ultimate sell low. He was putting to rest rumors they were trading Stafford. You don't want to upset your franchise QB just for a draft trade, which you don't seem to understand that teams would be trading to get ahead of the Giants and not whether they were keeping Stafford. It's also weird you don't have the same criticism for Campbell for making it known Goff is his guy. Anyways, saying you aren't trading Stafford does not mean that you aren't drafting a QB. Are you saying then if Holmes says Goff is not going to be traded that is telling the entire world they are not drafting a QB?
  14. How did he do that? When he had Tua for a pre draft visit? When he contacted Saban about Tua's medical status?
  15. I also know there were people who simply sat it out but would have voted for Hillary. I personally know more people who assumed Hillary was going to win and just didn't bother.
  16. First lady, US senator, secretary of state, first female candidate of a major political party. Yeah, they'll know who she is. *EDIT* Well, maybe not in Florida since that will be banned from schools.
  17. I still don't understand what made Clinton such a bad candidate and what made Stein or Johnson better candidates. It's also possible that people realized they screwed up and threw away their vote in 2016 and weren't going to do that in 2020. It's also why turnout was much higher in 2020. I'm not sure what makes Biden a significantly better candidate than Hillary. I still can't even wrap my head around the logic of wasting my time to vote for Johnson or Stein knowing both of them were going to lose. I suppose it would be for down ballot. Ron Johnson got about 70,000 more votes than Trump and Feingold got about the same as Hillary. In that case, if you don't like Trump, you could vote for Hillary since one of the two were going to win. Guess it's water under the bridge now. We just have to deal with those choices for generations now. When they have grandchildren, they can tell them I didn't vote for Trump I voted for Gary Johnson. When they ask who that it is, they can tell them I don't know but he's not Hillary Clinton and didn't have a private email server that we are aware of.
