  1. Won't someone please think of the resources! Heaven forbid we exchange them for a good young player.
  2. Except Higgins wouldn't be a backup who would never play. Nate Sudfeld had 0 pass attempts. DJ Chark had 500 receiving yards and you are going to have to spend resources to retain him *GASP* or you can spend resources and not only replace him but upgrade the position with a proven player. Jared Goff is a great QB who has led a team to a Super Bowl and has had a winning record in 5 of the 6 season he's been a full time starter. Lets make it easier for him.
  3. Ok, I guess you are just going to ignore they are adding talent. You know that's what you do in the NFL with these resources they call draft picks. You exchange them for players. Tee Higgins is a football player. A good one. You exchange resources (draft picks) for good player. Do you understand? Here is the great thing. You mentioned about adding to the defense. Guess what? The Lions have more of these resources that can be exchanged for defensive player. Does that make sense? Do I need to dumb it down more for you? What about the cap space? The Lions have plenty. Guess what money is exchanged for players. The Lions can exchange money for Higgins and other players. Amazing I know. Who cares about 2024? It means they have a lot of this money to exchange not just for Higgins long term but for other players. Wild. If you want a WR, sign one, but oMg ReSoUrCeS, or draft one BuT rEsOuRcEs. Weird how you can suggest exchanging resources for a WR but not trade them for Higgins who is young and proven. If you draft a WR you still have to pay that receiver and lose the pick to draft him. Mind blown. The Eagles defense last year was 18th in points against and 12th in points for so you are wrong there. The Eagles comp is a good comparison because they are team that started slow like the Lions, made it to 9-8, and used their multiple picks to add to their offense even after they drafted Devontae Smith in the 1st round and he had a good season. The Lions literally only have one proven WR under contract next year. Williams has 1 catch in his career. Your left with Reynolds and Raymond. This isn't a video game. The Eagles added a WR and were still able to draft defensive players. Weird I know but teams can do that.
  4. They have built a foundation through the draft and the proposed trade was a 1st and a 4th so it's not a bunch of picks and you are acquiring a receiver who just turned 24 in January. St Brown is the only proven receiver on the roster. It's not like adding Higgins would be a luxury. The Lions would still have another 1st, presumably the 6th overall pick, plus a pair of 2nd round picks and a 3rd to add to the roster and the defense. I make the trade if it's just a 1st and 4th.
  5. Word on the street is Marlinga is going to run again for the district. Guessing this time Democrats won't pretend he doesn't exist.
  6. They have multiple resources. The proposed trade is a 1st and 4th. The Lions still have another 1st plus two 2nd's to address the defense. They have the opportunity to make this position elite. They also project to have $122 million in cap space in 2024. The cap will go up. The Eagles finished last year 9-8 after starting 2-5 and went and traded for AJ Brown and signed him to an extension.
  7. And so will the Lions cap space be different March 15th. They already $10 million. A lot of teams are starting with less. The Packers and Vikings currently are over.
  8. I never even heard of Pinewood Derby Cars and everyone here had one.
  9. Weren't the Lions rumored to be interested in Debo Samuel last year? I know they since drafted Williams but I don't think they would be opposed to trading for a receiver who just turned 24.
  10. I'm not sure why people quickly wrote off going after Higgins. He would be a perfect fit. He's a big outside receiver who can go and catch those 50/50 balls. He would be a perfect compliment to St Brown and Williams.
  11. The Lions are currently 11th in cap space. They are in the upper half of the league. More teams have less cap space than the Lions and the Lions have relatively few free agents to re-sign. The Eagles for example have half the cap space and 18 pending free agents. The Lions are a in a good spot cap wise.
  12. Isn't Florida the state where you can run over protestors blocking traffic?
  13. Not going to happen. Holmes is smarter than to replace a Pro Bowl QB with a QB who only completes 53% of his passes.
  14. Still can't get enough of these videos.
  15. Lions have plenty of cap space. Brockers is gone. Cutting Okwara and Harris would create $11 million. Cutting Vaitai would create nearly $6 million and we haven't even gotten to a Goff restructure which could create another $12 million. These moves without a Goff restructure would give the Lions about $41 million in cap space. Add a Goff restructure and you're looking at $53 million. Ragnow is another restructure candidate. Can create $8 million in space. The salary cap isn't going to stop the Lions from signing who they want. Even if they had the cap space of the Bears, I don't think they would be signing a ton of players.
  16. I'm not even sure non breakable glass is a good thing. Tesla's have issues with fires, what if you're trapped in the car while it's burning and no one can break the glass to get you out?
  17. If that door is not open it has a massive panel gap. The windshield wipers don't even cover the windshield, the bed sides are too high to reach into the bed and there is a reason no one makes cars using stainless steel. It looks like something from a 1980's low-res arcade game or what people thought a car in 2005 would look like back in the 80's. It's as if they took the Delorean and decided to make into a truck and even more unpractical.
  18. I've muted Musk but he has to periodically pump the stock. Also, the Cybertruck is ridiculous and impractical.
  19. I'm genuinely confused. This is not satire?
