  1. I get Cam Newton vibes from him. Once he loses his legs, how effective is he going to be? I don't want to be the team that finds out.
  2. I'm just not sold on Lamar Jackson as a long term option. The fact that the Ravens, one of the better run teams in sports, aren't either just further convinces me.
  3. Another reason not to shoot it down over land is you would have all these anti-government conspiracy theorists yahoos rushing to the debris field to make sure the government wasn't trying to cover something up. They would have vague pictures which would be evidence of the globalists plot.
  4. I'm confused. Ivermectin is manufactured by Merck who is one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world and is the definition of big pharma. I guess since Merck says Ivermectin is not approved for use for COVID I guess that means you're not brainwashed by big pharma.
  5. One of my first thoughts was what if China put some biological agent on the balloon with the hopes the US would shoot it down causing the biological agent to hit the mainland?
  6. Why in the world would we want to draft a worse QB than Goff with one of our high picks? The Lions could literally just sign about everyone of those QBs.
  7. I would rather waste a pick on Richardson than a 25 year old QB coming off a major injury.
  8. Each team can designate up to two players as a post June 1st cut. So in the Lions case it would likely be Okwara and Vaitai. Basically those players are released immediately but the team releasing them carries their cap charge until June 2nd. It wouldn't help the Lions in the immediate since those cap savings aren't realized until June 2nd and likely wouldn't affect who the Lions sign but gives them more breathing room during the season.
  9. Those are Pre June cuts. For instance if you designate Okwara as a post June 1st cut they would save $11 million. Vaitai would save $9.5 million. Harris would be $6 million. Brockers is $10 million either way and is as good as gone. Those would be the ones I would consider for cutting. Restructuring Goff can save as much as $12 million. Restructuring Ragnow could save as much as $8 million. Lions have options.
  10. I think Chicago is smart by not giving the Bears handouts to stay in the city. Chicago doesn't need the Bears and doesn't need a 70,000 seat stadium plus parking that's vacant 95% of the year. Football stadiums should be in the suburbs and certainly not in a park on the lake.
  11. With a domed stadium, Chicago is guaranteed a Super Bowl, Final Four, possibly a national championship game among other events. Same for Nashville. Not sure if Buffalo will be in the mix for a Super Bowl even with a domed stadium. What's funny is Soldier Field wasn't really designed for football and was only suppose to be a temporary stadium. Then they put that spaceship on it and ruined its historical status.
  12. Watching these Pro Bowl games. Carr won the accuracy competition. Goff came in second. Ironically, he struggled with the checkdowns.
  13. Also weird how the same people who yell HIPAA over having to show vaccine status has no problem with requiring girls to share menstrual status.
  14. Remember, Florida is the free state. Something about gas stoves and woke.
  15. Jets were rumored to be willing to give two 1sts for Rodgers so I would have to imagine Goff nets at least a 1st plus some mid to late round picks.
  16. If the Lions are interested in former Lions as coaches, Kevin Smith is currently running backs coach at University of Miami. The Lions need a running backs coach now. Campbell and Smith played one game together in the NFL.
  17. I do think Brady is done this time but I would still take him over Rodgers if those are my choices. Rodgers will cost draft picks. He's scheduled to earn $60 million. I do believe Brady would sign for less. Rodgers is a diva and would probably get eaten alive in New York. There's no guarantee he would be there more than one year. Both QBs are old and decline can hit fast in the NFL and the Jets could be holding the bag. Carr is the best fit. He wouldn't need to carry that team the way he needed to carry the Raiders. The Jets are likely a playoff team with Carr. Garappolo is a good safety net but he struggles to stay healthy.
  18. I would take Carr. I think he's very underrated and played on some Raiders teams with terrible defenses. He's Matthew Stafford lite *ducks*. I think it's likely the Raiders will cut him and the Jets won't need to give up picks. The Jets have the defense and they have some talent on offense with Wilson and Hall.
  19. Feels like a meh hire to me. I seem to recall Bly being more of a gambler and taking risks and getting picks but also getting burned. CB is probably the worst position on the roster and will almost certainly have a rookie or two so I was hoping for more accomplished coach. I really don't want Bly to teach his style to young CBs. I also seem to only remember Bly for throwing Harrington under the bus when Mariucci got fired.
  20. His coaching record doesn't seem impressive. Seems like he got fire from North Carolina. I honestly thought Campbell could do better. If we were going to former Lion route, I would have hired Glover Quinn.
  21. That was strongly implied or else the point wouldn't have been valid.
  22. Bly and Campbell were teammates briefly.
  23. I figured it would have been the Super Bowl Shuffle.
