    Bush was also one of the lowest rated outgoing presidents and the economy was collapsing. McCain was just too similar to Bush.

    McCain lost by 10 million votes. As terrible as Palin is, I doubt she cost McCain 10 million votes. Obama had over twice as many electoral votes as well.

    Stafford will announce his retirement as well. The Rams will implode and the Lions will end up with the #1 pick. Stafford then decides to come out of retirement and sign with the Lions. The Colts, still desperate for a QB after moving on from Wentz, trade a 1st round pick for Goff.

    Stafford only has one more year on his contract and will be a free agent. In 12 years with Stafford it didn't work out. The Lions need to do what other teams are doing and go with a young QB who can win when it counts like Jared Goff.

    I've been saying this for a while now but Matthew Stafford is the Carmelo Anthony of the NFL. Lots of stats but zero playoff wins in 12 years.
