  1. I still don't get crypto. I also don't understand what mining crypto is. I'm 99% there isn't someone somewhere wearing a hardhat and flashlight with a pickaxe in a mine somewhere mining crypto.
  2. Don't worry folks, the guy who ended the filibuster on Supreme Court justices so he could get these justices on the bench would never end the filibuster to pass legislation this Supreme Court helped enable.
  3. They just need to win the presidency. Given that they don't even need the most votes to win it, it seems like a given.
  4. Another purple state.
  5. The Republican candidate for governor in Wisconsin just said rape victims have to turn lemons into lemonade. She's the leading Republican candidate. She wants to ban all abortions under any circumstances. Wisconsin is a purple state. They are coming for purple states.
  6. The naivety is astounding. The Republican candidates don't even have to be nutcases. As we have seen with Trump, Republicans fall in line. They all criticized Trump and said he was unfit until he won. If the Michigan legislature passes a strict abortion ban, a Republican governor will sign it.
  7. James Craig will sign any abortion bill that comes on his desk. Guaranteed. I do think there is a better chance that Whitmer wins re-election but the fact is a Republican is going to win Michigan at some point. They are also going to do everything they can at that point to prevent the people in Detroit from voting to maintain their control of the state.
  8. Mike Lee was texting with the Trump on how to overturn the election. I feel so relieved.
  9. The Republicans running for statewide office in Michigan support strict bans. There is no moderate Republican party anymore. The days of Rick Snyder are over.
  10. McConnell's work is done. He's got the conservative majority on the Supreme Court for the foreseeable future. The next senate majority leader will be even worse. Just wait until Josh Hawley or Ted Cruz is senate majority leader.
  11. You were likely the same one telling us they would never overturn Roe. If Biden wins another term, we will not have it in 6-8 years. The Republicans aren't going to nuke the filibuster and pass an abortion ban until they have the presidency.
  12. I looked up my primary care doctor's Twitter and found out she is following Dr Oz. The account seems dormant. She has only two tweets, both from 2016. Should I be concerned?
  13. The guy who is a Turkish citizen who voted in Turkish election as recently as 2018 is talking to us about cleaning borders.
  14. We're being told to vote if we want change. We did and our candidates got millions more votes and still lost. Now we're being told to look at the flowers like the scene from The Walking Dead.
  15. He was at it again.
  16. Here's Florida throwing out math books because of CRT. Maybe they should turn off Fox News and go outside and smell the swamp.
  17. You need to turn off MSNBC and smell the roses.
  18. I don't watch MSNBC but do you care to tell me anything incorrect in that post? Perhaps the pro life people who believe conspiracy theories of the election being stolen and CRT and groomers should be the ones to shut off Fox News and smell the roses.
  19. No they don't. In a four year span, a Republican president who lost the election by 3 million votes got to nominate one third of the Supreme Court and it was confirmed by a majority senate that represented over 40 million fewer people. They don't have to walk a tight rope. A Democrat has to win a national election by at least 5 million votes now to have a chance at winning. Who gives a flying fuck about 12% of the population in California when Republicans just took over about 20 small rural states that have 10 times the senate representation. This system favors rural white states. People in California and New York and Illinois going out to vote means nothing. Their less American than the rancher in Wyoming and we haven't discussed the fact that DC has no senate representation and is larger than Wyoming, Vermont, and Alaska. Democrats have gone out and voted but even when they win they lose.
  20. I don't know where to stick this, but this is quite the thread.
  21. Mitch McConnell is 80 years old. He has 4 years left on his term. He may very well be done. He's accomplished his life's mission and got a conservative Supreme Court for the foreseeable future. The next majority leader from an all white state a fraction of the size of California will eliminate the filibuster to clear the way for an abortion ban.
