If I’m not mistaken, Reyes is only a little over a year older than Hill. As a Rule V pick he was rushed. I am not ready to move on from him (sorry TD).

Really the only way I would be interested in him is if 1) he is released, 2) he would be okay with a cheap minor league contract, 3) he would be willing to go to the pen, 4) at AAA he showed he could hit 92/93 with his fastball for an inning. All those things would need to happen. Then see how he does with the Tigers. Otherwise, what mtu sad.

One problem I see with that idea is it lets the defender (in this case the guy that was trying to keep Kadri from getting the puck) completely off the hook. If the offensive player is responsible for maintaining control over his body, how can that work if another player hits him? I guess there could be an expanded crease zone where players are required to be slowing or stopping or swerving away from the net area (instead of full speed). Would still be a judgement call by the refs.

As a 22 yr old, it seems he’s a little behind for advancement through the minors, but is that true?

I could see a situation where KT is a slightly better DE while he’s on the field, but misses more games than AH, so it will be a wash, or slight advantage to the Lions.

Meadows splits warrant some time off against lefties imo, maybe not 600 ABs.

I was a bit more positive in my opinion of Paredes than most here, but not in any big way. Just thought he had some skills and was young enough to develop into a solid player. That said, he hadn’t done much when with the big club and other players were catching up with him as mid tier prospects. Meadows should be more valuable in the short term, especially to the Tigers, Paredes may be more valuable in the long run, going forward. But I doubt by much, if at all. If the Rays hit on the traded draft pick, they win the deal. I am fine with taking that chance.
