  1. The doctor and well known anti-vaxxer goes on to say that the greatest source of misinformation on Covid was the US government. This part makes sense to me based on who was leading our government at the time.
  2. My views have changed greatly from this post. While the radical right in America wants to blame Jews for stealing all the gold, the Chinese feel very much the same way about Leprechauns. It’s one of the big reasons that St. Patrick’s Day is not celebrated in China and Colin Ferrell is no longer allowed in the country. Knowing this information, I believe the Chinese were trying to find a way to kill all the Leprechauns and that’s why they developed the virus in a lab in Wuhan. Unfortunately, as has been happening for centuries, humans continue to underestimate the amazing craftiness of the Leprechaun. The test subject the Chinese thought they caught was actually playing possum and ended up destroying the lab and in turn releasing the virus on the world. They should’ve followed the Ancient Chinese proverb. The more you fuck around with Leprechauns, the more you will find out.
  3. WDC is irrelevant. That’s completely off the table for him (and really anyone else not named Max or Charles). I think Alonso can have a huge impact on Aston. He’s the best thing to happen to the brand since James Bond. If all goes well and they can find consistent pace and race strategy, he could possibly finish ahead of one of the Merc or Sainz. I don’t think it will happen but it’s possible. They have definitely had the best 2 weeks of any other team in testing. They have moved to the head of the mid field pack and that’s even with Spaulding Smails as one of their drivers. $50 says the Stroll kid picks his nose.
  4. it’s not like he provided a gun for a murder. Hell, even that isn’t a character issue anymore for some people.
  5. At least it wasn’t this
  6. I thought he died
  7. No snuff videos posted today? Dang, this thread is slipping.
  8. I wonder if Andretti is even an option anymore since they can seem to keep their mouths shut publicly trashing F1.
  9. In Grandpa’s day 15+ yards was a deep ball. That’s not a realistic number anymore. 30 yards is more representative of a deep ball but that sort of misses what we are talked about with Goff. His concerns are the shot plays with high arch passes of 40+ air yards and that’s where the criticism comes on his accuracy. He was actually much better last season but I’d be interested to see his career completion percentage on balls over 40+ in the air and how he stacks up to the league. If those numbers are above average then I’d agree maybe his deep ball concerns are unwarranted.
  10. This is being discussed in the NBA draft thread.
  11. Damn that is pretty spot on
  12. This quote from Jeremiah is something else. Ceiling is a euphemism for Dream Scenario. It’s maybe a 1 in 20 shot they hit the ceiling, yet these pundits treat it like it’s a coin flip.
  13. The Lions scouting department spent enough time at Florida games scouting O’Cyrus Torrence that I’m hoping they saw enough to see Richardson to say nope.
  14. The initial suggestion on PFF was a 2024 4th
  15. @KL2 brought up an excellent point about how contracts are structured. We’ve seen teams like Rams, 49ers, and Bucs all continue to sign players and backload the deals and spread out the signing bonus. They keep kicking the bucket down the road knowing it will come due some day but in the meantime they can put the best possible team on the field. They also understand that the cap is only going up and a number that looks impossible to fit in the moment will be possibly in a few years as the cap rises. Also a team like the Lions that drafts well should feel confident they can draft later round starters on cheap 4 year rookie deals that will help the overall cap in the future.
  16. Theoretically, they could work out a 4 year deal for Tee that would finish right when Jamo would be due for a 2nd contract.
  17. https://syndication.bleacherreport.com/amp/2702414-after-5-years-of-byu-and-its-honor-code-jamaal-williams-is-free-what-now.amp.html Article is 6 years old but is fascinating at how much he is still the same person with the same character. He’s still working closely with his uncle as his trainer. Long article but absolutely worth the read and it tells the whole story of BYU.
  18. I don’t get the Addison love. Great college player but he’s tiny. Not sure he’s suited for the NFL game.
  19. 1000% this. I remember my best friends car that had counter weights and a completely modified chassis. We both started with the same kit but our finished cars looked totally different. I remember he won the first local pinewood and we went to a regional meet and it was all Big 3 engineer kids.
  20. Karun speaks truth.
  21. Interesting
  22. As described above, the money is there for them to resign the guys they want and either take a shot a one marquee FA like a Payne or Dean, 2 mid tier, or a bunch of cheap fillers.
  23. Chris “Clickbait” Trapasso from cbssports.com is up to his old tricks again. I’m not going to post the link but his latest mock has the Colts trading to 1 to take Richardson. Lions go Witherspoon and Mayer
  24. The text messages will make that determination. If it turns out his lawyer is full of shit and Miller knew about the gun being in his car, knew that an altercation happened and a shooting was going down, then he’s fucked and nobody is taking him. The texts before and after will get subpoenaed and will tell all.
