This is not my issue at all. MB thinks Stafford was overrated and overhyped and hated that he asked out of Detroit. This led into his claim that Goff would be just as good. Now it’s morphed into constant defense of Goff and continued comparisons to Stafford and every other QB. Look, it was a rocky first 20 games but it’s starting to maybe look like MB was right about Goff. He should take some props but it’s become almost insufferable. We’re 3 years in and he still takes almost every chance to rehash the same points over and over again about Goff and Stafford. It’s tiring. I am also not a fan of the abrasive tantrums that get thrown if someone wants to share a different opinion. He’s come unhinged and called people pathetic liars and various other names multiple times in the past. Sure, I can put him on ignore but I actually do appreciate his point of view and think he has some good things to say about the Lions and other topics. I would like for him to just tone it down or pick his spots better with the Goff vs. Stafford debate.

I’m not sure how to accurately qualify what constituted Trump’s team. There were so many different people moving in and out of key positions over the term. I can’t recall any other presidency with as much constant churn. Towards the end there was nobody left. Just him and a few 20 something DC newbies in spots they never should have been because they couldn’t get anyone else.

I’m not shocked that Jamie Benn pulled this move. He’s done a bunch of similar old time hockey plays like this throughout his career: What really shocks me is that this guy scored 33 goals this year! Wow, never would’ve thought that possible at this stage of his career. That’s way more shocking than him getting loose with the stick again.

Doesn’t seem likely but if he can shoot like that consistently through the pre draft process, he will get picked and probably in the first round. There is a unique talent inside there somewhere and I’m sure there will be a few teams willing to take a flyer on being able to bring it out.

This is spot on and starting to become so apparent. Coaching matters so much more in the playoffs and defense does too (at least situationally). Stas should be defined more by what they do in the playoffs.

The team has fallen to such low depths that apathy has fully set in. I don’t think the average Detroit sports fan really cares that much anymore about the Pistons. This is a diehard town and we haven’t seen any of the constant dragging of Weaver like we saw in the past with the GM’s of the Lions, Tigers, and Wings. This is not on Weaver and started well before him. Much of it falls on Gores/Tellem but this franchise is in its worst spot since the mid 70’s. Someone mentioned earlier that if they were to somehow leave town (they won’t) that people wouldn’t really care and I am actually starting to believe it.
