Brockers a healthy scratch. Paschal and Cominsky back in. -

I like this but it’s missing refs throw a flag for an obvious roughing the kicker on the punt by Fox and then decide to pick it up because the Dallas crowd was booing. -

Someway and somehow the Lions defense will force turnovers. The offense will get back to better form and Dak will struggle getting his timing back. Lions 30 Cowboys 24 Late Dallas score makes it look closer than it really was. -
Both teams will be double digit favorites every game the rest of the way but the best team doesn’t always win. I’m not even so sure both will win next weekend.

An American back on the grid.

It won’t be logical. It’s college football.

I feel just as confident that one of them will lay an egg and lose before the game.

The Rams were rumored to be heavily involved in trade talks to get CMC. That probably played a role in driving the price up.

Not familiar with Moneygram but I’m probably not the only person to wonder if they were a legitimate company or not based on Gene’s prior sponsor relations.

I’d love to see these young players emerge and continue to get better all while the team loses many, many games. -

I expect Parsons to come out with extra motivation when he’s lined up against Sewell. I hope Penei is fired up too. -

I have no idea what to expect. The only thing I’m confident about predicting is there will be multiple horrible calls that go against the Lions. -
They aren’t going 1-16 but just for S&G’s, he’d still have a job but he would be on a serious hot seat to start 2023. Would need to do something big in the first 6 games.

The only way Dan Campbell gets fired this season is if he gets in legal trouble. There’s a 0.0 chance of him getting fired for performance.
-
I’m still squarely on the side of Brad and Dan but I don’t see an issue for giving them heat on a few of their questionable decisions. There are definite improvements on the offensive side and 2 premier playmakers have emerged. That bodes well for the future. The reality is they are going to be either 1-7 or 2-6 at the halfway point and the defense is the worst in the league and there doesn’t appear to be any quick fix in sight. Even in a rebuild there has to be some accountability when things go that poorly. Personally, I think they will get things figured out the second half and perform better against lesser competition and end up in the 6 or 7 win area that many of us predicted.
-
After reading this board for a while I’ve come to realize there’s nobody to blame. It’s a total rebuild and will take 4 years. Everyone gets a free pass for the rest of this year and next. Let’s stay positive until 2024 and then maybe we can criticize the organization again.

USC was just open and he wasn’t even a candidate. He can absolutely win at Auburn. Bama is their own thing but the rest of the SEC goes through cycles and LSU, Georgia, Florida, and Auburn have all had championship runs in a the last 20 years.
-
Auburn seems like a such a perfect fit for him.
-
It’s too early to start predicting. Only Clemson and TCU don’t have another top 10 team on the schedule. Lots of big games left between top 10 teams to shake things up.
-
Letting Saleh get away may be something we regret for a long time. He was a perfect fit here.

Pac-12 officiating is notoriously bad but last night was something else. Two horrendous roughing the passer calls on 3rd down gifted Utah 14 points. One was an interception that was called back and the Utes scored the next play. They also called a bad PI in the endzone on a play where feet got tangled. My favorite were the 3 targeting calls on USC that all were overturned on replay but the one actual targeting by a Utah player never got called or reviewed. Tough way to lose but USC is very much in control of its own fate. They are a season ahead of progress as next year’s team is the one that should be really good. Caleb Williams is starting to look like the obvious #1 pick in the 2024 Draft. He’s got a very Mahomes look to him avoiding the pass rush and effortlessly flinging the ball downfield.
