The gunheads love to push their argument that we need more armed guards and that a good guy with a gun will stop a bad gun with a gun. This is the 2nd incident in a few weeks where a bad guy with body armor defeated a good guy with a gun. It should not be very hard for everyone to come together and immediately ban the sale and possession of body armor. It won’t solve our problem but it’s a baby step forward in avoiding mass shootings in a time where we continue to either do nothing or take steps backwards.

Armed guards aren’t the answer. As a society, we need to value an individual’s right not to get shot more than we do their right to own a gun. That is the only answer.

I hope you are wrong but we will all find out in in a few more weeks. I would love an epic final showdown between these two. Lalo isn’t in BB except for a mention so they can go many ways with the storyline. I don’t believe that he told anyone from the cartel what he’s up to. Only Hector knows what he’s doing and it appears Lalo is waiting to get his proof before sharing his plan with Eladio. It would be easy for Fring to make him disappear and nobody from the cartel to ever know the wiser. He just needs to secure Lalo’s camcorder.

I got so absorbed in the quest for answers on the Saul/Jimmy metamorphosis, what happens to Kim, and how Gene Takovic and the rest of the BB timeline intersects that I overlooked at how amazing the coming collision between Lalo and Fring is going to be. These are such incredibly driven and detailed bad guys that will literally go to any length to not lose. Throw Mike Ermantraut in the middle of these two and it’s going to be amazing TV to watch. It won’t surprise if it becomes the dominant story at the end.

There’s some context specific to this incident that you are leaving out which plays a big role here. If there’s no prior beef from last year between Donaldson and the Sox, none of this ever happens. Anderson is making a big deal because he hates Donaldson and not because he felt like a victim of racism. He’s not being honest if he says otherwise.

This is bush league by Anderson to play the race card here. The real story is the entire White Sox team hates Donaldson from an incident that happened last year when he was on the Twins. He and Lucas Giolito had a little blood feud that hasn’t really been settled even though Donaldson is a Yank now. Donaldson is a known idiot and probably should’ve read the room better too. He should’ve realized none of the Sox like him anymore and just kept his mouth shut rather than try to be cool and joke around.

I brought the point up earlier or maybe even on the old board that another challenge for the university is these donors and collectives can cut that school right out and give straight to the player if they choose. No need to donate to the general fund or endow scholarships to support the team as in the past. Businesses can do the same and have another option and don’t have to pay the huge sponsorship or advertising to the university. Not sure how they control it, but it can’t be great for fundraising and that’s the only reason why football is so important and accepted by faculty and academics at most research universities.

I think football is the only sport it would work. There’s just a different type of appetite for it. Recruiting has gotten so big that these kids are big names that young. I think if you were to also pair up NFL franchises and let a team from each conference share a team that would help to build a fan base.

I had some friends in college that had their parents do this to them. Completely backfired as they just started doing coke instead. That only stays in the system for a few days.
