  1. Cincinnati 30 Alabama 22 Bearcats shock the world and dominate in a game that’s not as close as the fInal score. Georgia 38 Michigan 19 Georgia stops the run. UM doesn’t. The freshman TE has a huge game off play action.
  2. Here’s my idea. 2 playoffs! The main 16 team playoff with P5 conference champs and the top nonP5 get automatic bids. The next 10 get selected and everybody is ranked by committee. That’s 15 total games for ESPN to televise to settle the National Chanpion. The next group goes into the NIT which is a little different. No auto bids but the committee selects the 16 best remaining teams and ranks the top 4 and then does a European soccer style random pick lottery to determine the brackets. That’s 15 more games for TV. The first round of each tourney could be at home campus sites or they could create something location based like a bowl. The CFP committee can assign sponsors and locations and cut out the slimy local middle men. That gives 30 quality games that will all be much better than the many crappy games we get now that players seem to care less and less about One change that has to happen and I think will start to happen very soon anyway, all games will have corporate sponsors and part of their money will go to short term NIL contracts ranging between $50 to as much as $250k that are given to select marquee players to tempt them to stay and play and not opt out. May not be enough to sway the top guys but it would definitely have many more opting in to play. More great meaningful football than ever in December and January
  3. Too many ideas to share but I think Dukes Mayo should have a tie in with every bowl where the winning coach gets a mayo bath.
  4. We don’t need this bowl system in order to have college football on TV during the holidays. There are much better ways to construct a postseason without being beholden to the shell games of these shady bowl executives.
  5. The bowls continue to exist mainly because it’s a great racket for the lucky few that are paid between $400k and $1M for the job of putting on a single football game a year. They also get free first class travel wherever they want under the guise of scouting out potential invitees. Most these lucky CEO’s already had big influence either in college sports, fundraising, or lobbying so they already had great skill at making themselves look important while doing very little.
  6. Testing facilities that had been no wait for many months and now seeing 4 and 5 hour waits.
  7. Trash can wins for the 2nd year in a row.
  8. If this is really the case then UM doesn’t need to do anything and Harbaugh will be happy making $4.5M for the next 3 years and remaining the 10th highest paid coach in the conference. I don’t think it’s the case and that while the actual money may not matter, the fact that his worth is less than half Brian Kelly or Mel Tucker will eat at the competitor in him.
  9. It’s one phone call.
  10. What’s the hold up then on the Michigan side? The sooner they offer him a fat extension, the sooner all talk of him leaving dissipates. It’s not like they are waiting to see what happens in the playoff before they decide if they want tot keep him or not. It’s certainly not like Michigan doesn’t have the money to pay him. I wonder what is really happening behind the scenes. Who knows, because he’s such a strange cat, maybe Harbaugh is the one slow playing it. Maybe Warde secretly loves Gattis or Hart and wants them to get the job. Maybe Harbaugh wants to go to the. NFL for a new challenge now that he’s got UM back. Maybe some segment of all of the above is true or maybe none of it is. Who knows. This is what online message boards are for. What I do know is that he’s going to be a hot commodity in the NFL.
  11. The playoff result doesn’t matter. Speculation will be strong until he signs a large extension from UM. He was on a prove it contract and he proved it Time for UM to step up or lose him. All the sentimentality for his alma mater won’t make up for the disrespect if they don’t make him one of the top paid coaches in the country. I also can’t think of a reason why Harbaugh shouldn’t be the Bears top candidate. He’s an ideal fit for them.
  12. I really like both players. Stingley looked like he could’ve been a top pick as a true freshman had he been draft eligible. He’s light years ahead of where Okudah was when Quinn took him. Hamilton is the stud safety that they need badly but need to see the medicals on his season ending injury.
  13. Urgent care is ideal in these situations, Most are also doing onsite teasting too.
  14. Interested to take a look at Tua and the Dolphins tonight. Not sure what to make of them. They’ve won 6 in a row but they played Giants, Panthers, Texans, Jags, and Jets 2x. Talk about an advantageous schedule.
  15. I came in with super low expectations and I actually really liked it.
  16. Fuck Yes Joe Biden!
  17. I haven’t looked so I could be dead wrong but I assume since only the top seed gets a bye that the Packers will have something to play for up until the end.
  18. Why FG there?
  19. I expect the Lions get back to normal and lose a game in the 4th quarter that they should’ve won. Refs will probably play a role in it as well.
  20. I think that used to be true but that’s changed with all the advances in tech. Everyone has a tablet loaded with specialized video software developed for football. They all watch endless tape on teams they play and in doing so they see all the other teams they’ve played. I just saw something on Hard Knocks Indy (which is the best of the series btw) where Darius Leonard watched every run play the Pats ran all season to prep for them. He ended up watching 14 games worth of film just for one game.
  21. Sigh. You really are a gem. Merry Christmas Bombers!
  22. Merry Christmas to you to Archie. Sorry to hear about your friend and co-workers.
  23. Fans make up for only 1/3 of the vote. Players and coaches make up the other 2/3. I know you are stubborn but wouldnt it just be easier to say hats off to Nino. He proved me wrong and giving him away for a 7th was one of the worst deals of the Quintricia era. We can call it a Christmas miracle that you admitted you were weren’t right on something.
